can't remember off hand who the Nebraska fan(s) are in here, but if there's any consolation to losing to Northwestern in overtime, looks what's happened to those teams after they got beat by them - Iowa scores 55 and beats down Ohio State and Michigan State upsets Penn State. so maybe, just maybe, good things are coming for Nebraska next week.

does an unbeaten Big Ten Champ (Wisconsin) get left out of the playoffs this year if:

- Alabama or Georgia goes unbeaten (1 spot)
- Clemson wins ACC with 1 loss (1 spot)
- Notre Dame ends with only 1 loss (1 spot)
- Washington wins Pac-12 with 1 loss (1 spot)
- TCU / Oklahoma wins Big 12 with 1 loss (1 spot)

for more fun, what is the SEC title game ends with like, a last second FG between Bama and Georgia - do both teams still make the playoffs as a rematch of 1 vs 4? or would the loser be left out entirely?

essentially, i'm curious if the committee would ever leave out an unbeaten power-5 conference school. if it ever could happen it seems like it could happen to Wisconsin with all the talk of their weak schedule and / or how they would performance in the Big Ten title game (let's say they win 14-10 against a team that has already lost 2 or 3 games).

 

Leaving out an undefeated power 5 champ would be ridiculous, and I’m not just saying that because it’s Wisconsin

 

If Georgia and Bama both make the SEC game undefeated and the final game score is one score apart, I don’t see how both don’t get in as 1 and 4, especially with how the other conferences are breaking down this season.

If Miami and Wisconsin continue to go undefeated, they’d be the other two, I’d imagine. Especially with Miami’s next game being against Notre Dame. There’s a lot of very good one loss teams, but the four undefeated control the board really.

 

Pretty cool being able to see Dante Pettis break the all time NCAA punt return record last night with his ninth.

 

It's a very small portion of what the committee looks at, but as of right now here are the combined W-L records for some team top 10 teams opponents:

team A: 36-47
team B: 48-34
team C: 45-35
team D: 41-43
team E: 37-44
team F: 40-41

one of those six schools are undefeated.

and two of those six schools played an FCS opponent this year, which may be taken into consideration.
