Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

Yeah. It would almost need to be a three team deal to get the Cavs a PG

I know the Cavs have been interested in Bledsoe but not sure how a three teamer with them would work. I really can't think of any other good, available PGs off the top of my head either.

If I'm the Cavs I either force Boston to throw in Brown or Tatum (unlikely) or tell the Celtics they have 24 hours to find a 3rd team for Cavs to get legitimate starter (PG) at Boston's expense (and/or throw in Shumpert)

What starting PGs would you target?

I'd say there's no chance of the Cavs getting Brown or Tatum.

Why is this particular instance strictly on the Cavs' FO? How do we know what information was disclosed or not by Boston? I'm not saying that to mean Boston tried to "slip one by the Cavs", but I think it's safe to say that Cleveland did not have the same information that Boston did regarding the injury. I don't think it's a bad thing that Cleveland is doing their work now with their medical staff.

Yeah, Cavs aren't getting Brown/Tatum and the Brooklyn pick. It didn't work the first time around with Tatum, it won't magically work now.

Agreed, I'm not sure that this is an indictment of the Cavs' front office.

The celts could easily get Bledsoe for nothing to complete the deal, just do it

Cavs found information in the Thomas physical that concerns them and mulling whether to nix the trade.

That makes sense, the hip stuff is bad.

No wonder the Celtics gave up that pick lol

Like ainge couldn't be a worse person

So what are the Suns gonna get?

Completely different circumstances now considering we're likely not getting the 2-time all-star/top 5 MVP candidate we thought we were.

The celts 1st maybe? Random depth guy also to match contracts or something. Not much

There is plenty of ammo to do that from earlier in the summer. This is not one of those times. This is simply using the resources available to vet your potential trade acquisition. We do something similar with home sales that have contingencies all the time.

what if... IT back to Phoenix

Bledsoe, the pick, crowder and like Dudley to the cavs?

Actually I'm not sure the contracts would match up because Dudley got overpaid hmm

I think Boston would walk away from the deal before including Brown/Tatum AND the Nets pick.

Yeah, the front office has seemed to stabilize these past few weeks. It's obviously super early, but Altman appears to be capable of the job.

If the Cavs and Boston don't want Thomas because of the hip, why do the Suns want him?

Phoenix would have to take on more salary. Just don't see what's in it for Phoenix. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Isaiah Thomas coming off a deal, Bledsoe leaving on a deal? Lol

And probably a pick or two. That's a great deal.

It won't happen, but I'd be ecstatic if trade was voided and Kyrie returned and was forced to mend fences with team.

This is pretty disappointing for Cleveland. They have to find a way to become comfortable with Thomas either in his return timeline or in an additional move that can be made. I think if neither of those things can happen, then they would go back to Boston about re-working the deal. If that doesn't work, then the trade will get nixed. It may take some time to really sort this whole thing out.

I guess it depends on the value of the pick. If I'm a Phoenix fan, IT and Boston's (likely late first round) pick for Bledsoe isn't enough. Now if they gave Phoenix next years Lakers pick I could see that working
