and on something that happens dozens if not hundreds of times a game... damn. if i was a player i would honestly be terrified to leave the floor for fear that it would happen to me. thought the same thing after the Louisville injury - like, how do you ever jump again after witnessing that and not constantly worry it's going to happen again / to you

I couldn't quite see what happened at first on the video but when they cut to him on the floor right after I bailed out real quick

 

love the avi. i've never been a basketball fan and decided this season to finally get into it since baseball and football are letting me down, found myself following giannis on and off last season because of how insane he is, thinking they might be my team haha

 

I was just thinking about that. I wonder how that happens from a medical perspective. They jump like that dozens of times per game, yet this happens only once every few years. I only watched the play once, but did he land on someone’s shoe?

 

I came downstairs to my roommate shouting “NO! NO! NO!”. I thought the Celtics were getting smoked. I wish that was all that is was. Fuck.

 

The bench reaction gif is just horrifying. Everyone just turned and ran off the bench. Ugh.

 

I can tell believe that happened...such a freak play. I feel so bad for Hayward.

This just puts a damper on the whole season. Hoping for the best possible diagnosis for Hayward, but there's no way he isn't out for the year.

 

The fact that half those people just kept watching without flinching means they aren't humans

PG was back by the end of the season when he broke his leg. Obviously we don't know the extent of this one yet, but I think over a year is an overly pessimistic time table.
