13, I thought I made it 12. Weird. I'm gonna change that. Pretty sure someone who was like last place most of last year got the last seed and made it to the semifinal last year though lol

 

I normally don’t have anything against Mike Breen doing NBA games, but him describing how the NBA officials added a new aspect called “points of education” for new rules is maddening to me. Unless the NBA added something on top of ”points of emphasis”, every level of basketball has them. It’s not a new concept at all.

 

Gosh, I still love D. Rose. Hope he has another good season. Really miss him in Chicago.

 

It’s hard to see exactly what Cleveland has in Rose and some others because they are working everyone in still.

Houston on the other hand is really getting after it this pre-season.

 

Not sure how Im liking Kevin Love starting at the center. He held is own, but was still getting abused by Lopez tonight. I get why he's at the center with that group though. Cavs just gotta start gel'n. Then they gotta re-gel once IT comes back. Should be interesting to see.

 

Um did he break his whole arm?

 

Love is going to struggle against some of his matchups this year. Robin has size and length and should get some points against Love. However, Love is going to drag someone like Robin away from the hoop on the other end, so it will be interesting what the actual impact will be.

I think people (not necessarily you) get caught up in starters and backups. The main thing to look at is minutes and clutch situations. I think Tristan will still play just as much as he normally did. I think Ty knew all along he would start Wade eventually and with Rose already in there you need to leave some offense out there beyond LeBron. Whether that grouping works or not, we'll see, but I think the logic makes sense. The Cavs hit a ton of threes last year and that number will likely drop, but I think most Cavs fans would take a slight dip in offense for improved defense.

That's not nearly as bad as when Cooley blatantly tried to backwards punch nurkic in the face while he's wearing the protective mask

 

Markkanen looked pretty good last night. I think he'll struggle early on in the season, but I'm growing more confident that he can be a very good player in this league.

 

He did look good. Dropped 15 in the 4th. He’s just gonna get beat up at times. Definitely shoots the ball with confidence.

Justin Holiday has been looking impressive too.

 

Sounds like Embiid is returning tonight. I'm feeling Simmons to Embiid lobs all day.
