i feel like its a bad time to join the Spurs nation, but i really think i want to become a Spurs fan because of Pop. He'll probably retire soon, so i dont want to make a hasty decision like that (choosing alegiance to a sports team is a big dela)

    but man... Pop is awesome.

Pop made me a "the Spurs aren't my inherited/picked up team but I really love ___ about them" team. Him & Kawhi.

I'm from NY, blah the Knicks. As a kid I loved the Muggsy/Mourning Hornets lol. The Spurs were my quiet "Happy to see them prosper (cus mine probably never will)" team for awhile lol. Basically, won't take the fan credit if they win (let those who BEEN DOWN have that), but will enjoy seeing it haha.

  5. Just be a Hornets fan. The Dwight era is starting.

I’m really excited to see a Kemba Monk offense

  7. Drafting Monk and signing Dwight isn't super flashy but it does make the team better. The bench is so much stronger now. And we actually have an inside defensive presence.

I really think Monk was the perfect fit for them where they were. He's not Fultz or Lonzo or whatever, but he's NBA ready at a position of need for them.

Don't do it! Don't trick yourself into believing that this is the year Dwight finally "returns to form". I thought last year returning home would finally do it and the season ended with him sitting on the bench for most of the playoffs.

He's got his old coach with him and isn't being depended on to do too much more than 10/10

I know this seemed inevitable, but as a Cavs fan, it's so weird to think about.

If you told Cleveland in 2010 that the Cavs would spend the summer of 2017 getting Derrick Rose, Dwyane Wade, and Jeff Green at the minimum to try and help Kevin Love and LeBron James win another championship, they'd probably all puke burning jerseys everywhere.

I like the idea of Wade and Crowder in a matchup against GSW. Certainly better than some of the previous options we've tried.

I said this last year too and I was dead wrong but I really think the Cavs can/will beat the Warriors

I'm not going to make that call now. GSW is the clear favorite in my mind. But, I certainly like Cleveland's chances better than last year.

I never thought the gap between GSW and Cleveland was that large. I know the Cavs lost the finals last year in 5 games, but Cavs shot something like 27% on open 3s in the series, which is very unlike them. Had Korver made the wide-open corner 3 at the end of Game 3, all of a sudden the series is 2-1 with Cleveland hosting Game 4 (which they won be a huge margin).

The series was closer than it appears on record, but I've been focused on looking ahead and not harping on last season. I'm ready to embrace the Celtics players, Rose, Green, and Wade.

I think without a doubt the Cavs are a better, more well-rounded and deeper team this year than they were last year.

I subscribe to it but mostly just listen to the podcasts with Cousin Sal. I thought the RJ podcast was worth a listen though.

I think I just got burnt out on Bill's podcast. I used to have a heavy NBA rotation going on, but I have trimmed down to Lowe Post, Dunc'd, Real GM, and Chris Mannix.
