I'd be surprised if the Knicks wouldn't take him. I'd be way more surprised if the Bucks pull the trigger on that

 

He's too injury prone, I mean taking a handful of picks is better for them

But that’s what I think my trade can show people. I want them to see how my getting traded — just like that, without any warning — by the franchise that I scratched and clawed for, and bled for, and put my everything on the line for? That’s why people need to fix their perspective. It’s like, man — with a few exceptions, unless we’re free agents, 99 times out of 100, it’s the owners with the power. So when players are getting moved left and right, and having their lives changed without any say-so, and it’s no big deal … but then the handful of times it flips, and the player has control … then it’s some scandal? Just being honest, but — to me, that says a lot about where we are as a league, and even as a society. And it says a lot about how far we still have to go.

Cavs revealed their new court design. I really hate black as the complimentary color. It looked much better with the navy.

 

As long as the product ON the court looks great, I couldn't care less what the actual court looks like.

 

That Cavs/IT press conference was, um, awkward.

 

Did really no one ask about the cavs halting the trade and stuff?

 

Really the only question about the trade was if it was important to Koby Altman to have the deal done by the start of training camp and Koby just said once the reports came out of the trade request, they were already in 'information gathering mode' and got calls from many teams. Didn't really discuss timelines of trade.

I thought Altman (and even IT) got unnecessarily defensive when reporters asked about IT's injury. Those are completely fair questions to ask due to these circumstances. The Cavs just traded away a 25-year-old superstar and are supposed to be championship contenders. It's fair to ask about timelines for IT's injury or what he can and can't do right now and stuff like that. It's almost as though Altman was insulted by the questions even saying 'This is not the Isaiah Thomas hip conference.'

@Drew Beringer - I don't know the Bucks cap situation at all, but I can't imagine Jabari getting too big of an extension. Am I crazy here? Parker contract extension talks commence

 

You're not, if he stays healthy all year though... he'll get a lot.

 

Doesn't really matter what their cap situation is as they can go over the cap to sign Jabari. He'll get a major contract. I mean, we're seeing journeymen and bench guys get huge deals lately (i.e. Delly 4-years, 40 mil). Jabari Parker - although injury prone - could still have a very, very bright future and is only 22-years-old. Honestly wouldn't shock me if he got somewhere close to a max contract.

 

Will be much more rare for bench guys to huge deals anymore, the cap isn't going as high as they thought it was anymore because of the Warriors. None got a ton this offseason.

 

Only like 5-6 weeks, we can do this. Fantasy football will hold me over until then.

Also, Thibs, can you sign some players? And get us some fucking t shirts while you're at it?
