Chris Broussard was the one that had "anonymous sources" say stuff, and the Celtics players and local Boston media all said it was hogwash. (I don't think any players said the word "hogwash" specifically but I wish they had)

 

If the cavs can "salvage" any relationship they have with kyrie, im sure Boston could with IT.

 

Cavs don't have to. They can deal him to any other team in the league. Boston won't be able to deal IT.

As a Cavs fan, I'd rather have injured IT, Crowder, Zizic and the Nets pick than Brogdon and Middleton. Nothing against those guys though.

I guess it depends on IT's timetable. If he can come back by the All-Star Break I think it'd be ok.

 

This has nothing to do with a potential deal, but it's crazy to think that Brogdon is almost as old as Kyrie!

Yeah, no chance of the Cavs giving him a max deal after next year with the injury issues. Honestly, I think Thomas is probably the third most important piece of the trade for the Cavs behind the Nets pick and Jae Crowder.

If (and this might be a big if) Isaiah Thomas can get healthy prior to the postseason, I would take the Thomas/Crowder combo over Brogdon/Middleton for the postseason.

The Nets pick gives the Cavs a chance to either a) draft someone relatively high in the lottery or b) use that pick to acquire someone for a title run (Cousins?)

 

Yea, I understand your point. It really depends if you want to risk it for one year and you definitely think lebron is leaving or not because otherwise the other offer might be better. It's a very uncertain situation.

 

If LeBron would just tell them right now whether he was staying or leaving it'd be so much easier!

Pretty much my nightmare scenario is the Cavs trading the Nets pick for a big name (I just go to Cousins because I can't think of another realistic possibility at the moment) and then having LeBron leave in the offseason and not have a pick.

 

I wouldn't trade that pick for cousins
