oh i also left jamaal williams on my bench in one league, i had a forty point lead going into week 2 so im not too hurt by that, yet...

 

Ugh. I was looking so good with rivers and Henry but then they both stalled with the blowout win. Now I have to watch my opponent rack up points win Wilson, . Fournette, and the rams D while my players are done until tonight.

 

wentz/gurley were keeping him relevant this afternoon.

 

I told you Dak and Goodwin. I also said Brate but still!!!

 

I know! I had Dak in all freaking week and took him out last second. Also had Cook in all week and took him out this morning.

Had I left those 2 in instead of Jameis/Brate, thats another ~30 points. I'm currently down 35 with Tucker left tonight

 

able to survive the AB onslaught tonight and only going into week 2 of the playoffs 8 points behind.

 

I had Kamara and my opponent had Roethlisberger, and I still only lost by 2 points. My team is just objectively better than his. Fuck this shit.

 

Just went against the Big Ben/AB combo two weeks in a row. Needless to say I am now out of the playoffs

 

I had a bye but next week I’m playing my friend who has all three killer bees. I’ve accepted defeat already

 

Need 16 front Landry tonight or my season is done and my shit that thousand dollars is gone. 18 is his season high and had 11 when they played the Pats just two weeks ago. Not feeling very confident at all.

There’s a kid in my league who is SUPER cocky cause he’s made the playoffs for the first time EVER.

Already shit talked his next opponent..except did it while Big Ben and Brown were still playing and he’s facing them. NOW he’s only up by 6 with Burkhead going against him and my god I hope he loses.

 

I'm slowly coming to terms with how much luck is truly involved in Fantasy Football....

I didn't make the playoffs in my own league and I outscored every single person in my league this week except one person and I will outscore them as long as Dion Lewis gets at least 8 points tonight.

One of my friends in my league made a suggestion that two of his other leagues do to help out the people like myself this year and the other people it has happened to each other year since I started my league. Someone always seems to get screwed because their win/loss ratio doesn't match their total points and they just happened to face a lot of teams having their best week of the season (happened to me this year, I'm the number one point scorer, but came in 8th place and didn't make the playoffs).

My friend said in this league that 1st - 5th place are based on win/loss record and the 6th place playoff seed goes to the person who has the most points of the remaining players. Kind of gives a buffer for those who had a good team, but just had bad luck. One of the things I like about being the commissioner is holding votes at the end of the year to make slight changes to the league. I think I'm going to hold a vote for that change and the only other change I am going to hold a vote for is to add an extra bench spot that can only be occupied by a player on IR. I don't believe there should be a bench spot taken because you had Aaron Rodgers and he got hurt, but may be returning within the next couple of weeks.

 

In my friends league that I made the playoffs both me and my opponent's team shit the bed. Fortunately for me, his shit the bed a little worse than mine. I'm officially going to semi finals which is nice. Hopefully, I'll be getting Kamara back next week. 10 days should be more than enough time to get him back.

 

A playoff team in one of my leagues failed to hit 40 points in PPR this week.

 

I didn't do quite that bad, but I had a similar result. Put up a minimum of 132 (and as much as 177) each of the last 5 weeks of the regular season in my league. This week (first round of playoffs) I put up like 72. That's fantasy football for ya.

 

Did they just have all players that shit the bed or did they just accidentally make their way into the playoffs with a shitty team? It's hard for me to imagine any team getting less that 40 points in PPR. It's actually almost impressive.

I love the idea of an IR spot on a roster. I wasted a bench spot on Greg Olsen in one of my leagues the entire way, and it didn't pay off at all. Would've been nice to stash him on IR and pick up another player in his spot.

 

I like that 6th place gets in on points and not record. One of my leagues is filled with 9 of my closest friends (used to be 12 man, but now a 10-man) so every now and then we'll vote to make some changes. I may actually suggest this.

One year, we did give $25 to the person who scored the most points each week. So every week someone was eligible to win $25. This kept everyone invested, even if they had a losing record near the end of the year because they could still win something. I remember I finished in 1st or 2nd place the year we did that but I never once won highest score of the week, so it's interesting nonetheless.

 

IR spot is money tbh
