The worst part of the Stars tandem is that they're both signed for two more seasons after this, and I'm not sure either of them should be a starting goaltender in the NHL.

I am really confused about what LA is supposed to do moving forward. They're a team with similar players to the ones they won two cups with, but they've missed the playoffs, then lost in the first round now. They have something like 11 guys signed for the next 2+ years after this season... where do you go from here? Is it just a fluke that they lost in the first round?

Checked my bracket on NHL.com this morning and I knew I picked the Sharks but I forgot I said in 5 so I was pretty happy about that.

I had Dallas and Washington sweeping though

My bracket looks pretty decent with 20 points so far.

Had DAL in 5, but I still think they'll get past Minny

STL in 7 still a possibility

ANA in 6 is definitely a possibility!

SJ in 7, but Sharks were too good.

WSH in 7. PHI is making my pick look good now.

PITT in 5 looks like it's happening

Florida in 6 is not happening. Might be only pick not to make it out of the first round.

    TB in 7.

Raphael Diaz, playing in his first game in more than a year, is possibly paired with McDonagh today. 5:45 can't come soon enough.

Edit: Girardi is back, but still going to be ugly, regardless.

Picking Florida in a sweep was the only really stupid decision I made in retrospect.

Tattered defence and making Doughty and Muzzin play absurd minutes were big factors that led to that exit. In the third period of Game 3 or 4, Doughty had a handful of rests on the bench under a minute in length, including a number of rests of 14 seconds, 16 seconds, 20 seconds

  7. And I hate to say it, but it makes the Hawks run last year with 3.5 defensemen even more impressive.

    My bracket is a joke.

Also, seriously disappointed that Chimera isn't even having a hearing for that hit on Voracek last night. It was so dangerous.

    Fun must be always. Prestigious

I'm currently 2/2 on my bracket. The only one I have wrong right now is Rangers "upsetting" the Penguin.

    That was incredibly impressive.

And saying that a tattered LA defence helped in escorting them out of the playoffs is not to take anything away from the Sharks because they played lights out, especially on the PP. Pavelski, Burns, Jumbo Joe and Donskoi were absolute Kings killers.

  11. Rangers dressing 7-dmen today... cause that worked so well last year in the playoffs. Hope we lose 8-0.

Why Joe Thornton is running wild on LA Kings (Trending Topics)

great lambert piece on Hertl-Pavelski-Thornton making Doughty look like a subpar d-man.

  19. I did notice that, but I'd imagine/hope that AV rotates who double shifts throughout that game. Can't run Zucc into the ground every other shift.
