It's infuriating instead of benching Polak/Dillon, he breaks up his shutdown pairing in Vlasic/Braun.

It's also stupid how much ice time Spaling gets for being super useless.

 

I really don't want to see Phil Pritchard OR the Cup on Thursday night.

 

If Pittsburgh don't win game 5, they better damn well not win game 6. Only want to see the home team lift the cup.

 

Refs have been letting both teams get away with anything short of murder this series, which benefits the Penguins because the Sharks power play is lethal and the Penguins' power play has been stagnant other than the one goal tonight.

 

I think the Deboer one is more fitting.

 

Is this the point when people start making excuses for the Sharks and don't give the Pens any credit?

 

Remember when the Sharks gave the Leafs two second round picks for Spaling and Polak?

K I feel bad making fun 'cause I want the Sharks to win. And I'm also legitimately afraid for CobraKidJon if they don't.

 

I'm a huge pens fan, but I can't remember any playoff series being less interesting to me. I don't mean any disrespect to sharks fans, but there's no threat here. No drama. My team is one win from the cup and I'm falling asleep watching the games.

 

Pens have been on a tear for months so while I'd rather the Sharks win I'm not particularly surprised with how the series is going.

What I'm not looking forward to is hearing how great of a job JR did for making easy trades. Some people fail to understand that the Pens were actually a team on the brink of winning and his style of GM'ing actually made sense there. I'm obviously biased because he decimated our team and prospect pool after the cup, but I know some people are now going to find a way to blame someone other than JR for our problems. Karmanos is definitely somewhat responsible as well but we were horribly mismanaged for the greater part of ten years and 95% of that is on JR.

I'm definitely not salty though....

I'm happy if Kessel can bag one.

 

Mainly referring to the Hagelin/Daley/Kessel/Bonino moves which I think were all JR

Edit: But I'm all for giving JR less credit

The team doesn't get this far without HBK...JR basically built the strongest middle six in the league, deserves some praise.

Shero brought in "depth" on this team sure but c'mon...Crosby, Malkin, Letang, MAF (though shero is responsible for keeping him on the team post 2010) were all there before Shero walked through the door while Cullen, Hags, Bonino, and Kessel came after he left. Hornqvist is the only top six player Shero was responsible for bringing in. Guys like Sheary and Rust are going to fade away.

I'll credit him for Murray, about it.
