the fact that Adam Larsson isn't on team Sweden is funny, though.

 

I still can't believe the Pens are in the Cup again after a season of so many up and downs. Amazing what a coaching change can do for a team.

Dustin Brown's contract still has 6 years left on it.

Dustin Brown has 22 goals and 33 assists TOTAL in the last 2 years combined. and he hasn't missed a game.

 

I was comparing forward depths between Sharks and Penguins due to seeing a few comments on other sites saying Penguins forwards > Sharks forwards.

I honestly think the Sharks have the edge.

I'd argue Sharks top 6 is better than Penguins top 6. I'd for sure give the edge to Penguins 3rd line over our 3rd line. I also think the fourth lines wash each other out. I'd probably give the edge to Sharks if they had Nieto over Spaling. Am I crazy for thinking this?

Ehh that's a tough call but our third line is killer and might give us the edge.

 

I'm not entirely sure how a hockey fan couldn't care about the World Cup.

 

Team USA taking those 4 forwards over Kessel is hilarious granted I do love me some JVR but still.

Team USA is such a Torts team that I'll be surprised if they made it far.

USA should have a team that could trouble Canada in the future, but unless they get rid of everyone in charge it's a moot point.

 

More excited about Team NA than Team Canada roster, honestly.

 

Pretty much. I'll give them some slack in the IIHF due to how little USA players want to play it just because it starts right after the season/playoffs.

However the team as a whole in Juniors/World/Olympics has had some pretty crappy structure. They tend to build teams more as complete teams with checking lines and "stay at home" defenseman over just picking best players available like Canada has starting doing.

 

That should be the highlight of the cup is seeing how far that team can go. It's going to be a fun style team.

 

How is there a team NA and then team Canada and team USA?

 

Theyre all under 23 I believe.

 

The best players in the world competing against each other will never be meaningless.

 

If a player on your favorite NHL team tears his ACL, we'll see if you have this same opinion
