This trade could turn out to be beneficial to the Bears, Stanley could theoretically be there at 11 now...or even one of the top end defensive guys.

NFL Draft News & Notes: April 14th

    April 14th

Sources close to the situation tell me the New York Jets made a serious offer to the Tennessee Titans for the initial pick of the draft. Those with knowledge of the situation tell me the team was close to getting the deal done.

I’m told it is believed veteran defensive lineman Muhammad Wilkerson was part of the deal.

And while many in the New York area dismissed my initial report earlier this week over the New York Jets being dark horses for trading to the top of the draft, it was revealed within 24 hours of the report that Jared Goff would be making an official visit to the franchise. Goff won’t be make it past the fourth pick of the draft.

Will the Jets continue to attempt to move up into the early reaches of round one? Sources tell me they believe so but much depends on who the Los Angeles Rams ultimately select with the first pick in two weeks time.

    Tony pauline'd

Though he did get flowers and gurley going back to back correct last year but for the most part he reports all the BS smokescreens

Merrill Hoge basically just said every pass rusher in this draft will probably be a bust except for like three of them (bosa, kaufusi, Floyd).

If Spence is a bust, it's because of off the field issues. Without that, he's in the conversation with Tunsil and Ramsey for best player in the draft.

This sounds like the same thing that caused Bowers to drop a couple years back.

Same thing that happened to Dewayne Robertson and apparently Dominique Easley as well.

And if I were a team who had Bowers in my head, I wouldnt touch a guy with similar issues. Bowers was a bust even for being picked #51 instead of #5.

Bowers could still play lol he just sucks, nothing to do with injury. Jack is still top 10.

    Not true

He fell in the draft because of health concerns. He was a legitimate Top 5 talent before the 2010-2011 season.

    What's not true?

The fact that injury had nothing to do with Da'Quan Bowers' struggles in the NFL.
