I just switched our cable provider to save money and apparently the package I chose doesn't have any sports channels (not even ESPN). So I don't know what I'm going to do for the draft.... Maybe add the sports package. Ha

Very good draft. Would be surprised if GB took Wright that early, though, just because of the lack of value TT has attributed to ILB and the fact that Wright is so physically limited. All the picks are sensible, though (excluding Sterling Shepard being drafted twice haha)

 

I usually only watch the NBA draft with my friends, for whatever reason the NFL draft just doesn't register with them as much. Kinda sucks watching alone. Text exchange happens but its just not the same.

 

The Panthers met with Noah Spence at the combine.

How does he project in a 4-3? Can he play DE for a team like Carolina?

 

I honestly don't think I have any friends who watch it. My one buddy who I'll watch games with actually makes a point not to follow the draft (of any sports actually) because he hates all of the build up and hype around the new players.

 

Annual NFLN mock draft special is on. Usually a decent watch.

DE in a 4-3. That was his primary position at Ohio State. They did play some hybrid fronts where he was essentially more of a LB, but, honestly, I think he could succeed in either front.

 

it's going to take me a while to get used to seeing LA instead of STL. I haven't been keeping up on NFL happenings enough to be terribly acquainted so far.

Agreed. He has the athleticism to play pass-rushing OLB in a 3-4, but he had more experience in 4-3. He did fine dropping back in coverage on zone blitzes, but wasn't asked to very often. He will be a great value pick for whoever gets him.

I've heard Karl Joseph's name thrown around a lot on the radio and online around Pittsburgh for the Steeler pick. Seems a little early for him with his injury though.
