You can't really compare LeBron's unique status to other players in basketball or even other sports at the moment. I mean, you look at Jordan, the Bulls were a proper dynasty. Win or lose, neither the Warriors nor the Cavs match up to that. The Messi comparison is a bit jagged too, mainly because the context of the team(s) he plays in. The Diego Maradona era in Napoli is much more similar, where when he came there a delivered their first title in their history and forever became an unmatchable icon for the club and the city.
