  1. What's more Cleveland for game 7, losing by 30 or losing in the last minute of the game?

I feel like 90% of the dialogue I've seen this finals is complaining and negativity, why even watch? I guess I just don't get the mindset

If they lose, they walk out like the guys in the movie version of "Cool Runnings" carrying their bobsled, having the respect of most people for pulling off a feat that most thought would be impossible. Win or lose, there's no way they don't come back from California as heroes.

alternatively, if he was suspended and the Cavs won then we'd have to hear about how it doesn't count for like the rest of eternity

The officiating in this game was deplorable...on both ends, but especially with a lot of the quick calls and touch fouls. There were multiple blocks, steals etc that were ALL BALL and they killed the momentum. It was tough to watch in the second half with all the stoppages...just let em play! Hoping for a physical game 7 that comes down to the wire.

How can anyone just say "fuck Lebron"? Like basketball aside the amount of shit that he's done for that city is more than deserving of respect.

Good analogy, I like it. Cleveland needs to welcome them back with open arms and applause if they lose...they should be thinking up some creative chants to show their support for when the team gets back to town.

Same here, haha...another Sunday evening ruined. Her favorite time of year is the day after the NBA finals, up until the day college football starts. Never ending cycle, and typing this out is making me feel bad...but not bad enough ;-p

  9. Curry's 4th foul was the right call. He grabbed Irving's left arm and pulled it. That gave him an easier reach to the ball and he was able to knock it away.

The 5th foul could've maybe been let go but he did impeed Love from getting the rebound by hitting his arm. Like I said, wouldn't have been a bad no-call if they let it go but when Curry is constantly getting BS calls for his flopping after shots so it's hard to argue against calling it.

And the last foul, Curry hit LeBron's arm and then his leg causes him to lose his balance. Curry was somewhat out of control going for the steal and created contact. That is a foul.

    and a millions screams...

Seems curious to analyze fouls 4,5 and 6 but not mention the first three? Thoughts on those?

  12. I just mentioned those because that's what Kerr was whining about and what I saw replays of this morning. I don't recall the first 3 enough to say anything.

Regardless, they were losing by double digits majority of the game. They have no one to blame but themselves.

Watching his post game interview with Craig/seeing his performance the last two years, I don't worry about him much if they lose. He seems to understand it's taking otherworldly basketball from him to even compete with one of the best teams ever and he seems at peace knowing how hard it will be to win a game 7 at the Oracle. He's got nothing to be ashamed about.

Good points and I agree. I think it'd be less shame for him and more just feeling helpless and bummed about it. The amount of minutes he's already played I just feel like he can't keep doing this and every finals I wonder if it's his last, which I'm sure has to cross the back of his mind too

any chance Love shows up for a stellar 6 point, 2 rebound game?

  16. Where is this LeBron retirement talk coming from? Sounds crazy to me.

I don't think he will retire, just think the odds of him getting back to the finals every year have to be decreasing

  18. That's what I thought you meant but I remember people talking about him retiring in this thread last night.

i may have inadvertently started it. i asked last night "if the Cavs win does LeBron go out on top?" since he's 32 or so, has a family and would be leaving the greatest way he possibly could - ending with a championship for Cleveland. i don't think he will but i could see it.

Yeah I agree I don't see him calling it yet. His basketball IQ is so high I could see him playing at a high level long after he loses his physicality.

I know for most this is an inconsequential trade, but as a Colorado Buffs fan (where Spence went to college) and a Bulls fan, this is my dream come true.

Still holding out hope that Warriors pull out the win in the end. But shotgun to the head, end of 3rd quarter of Game 7 will probably be Cavs leading 20-ish.

And it would be utterly cruel not to give Lebron the Finals MVP win or lose.
