I think making over 400 threes and leading his team to 73 wins makes him elite but everyone measures "elite" differently.

 

I mean he wasn't Finals MVP last year, didn't look like that affected what anyone thought of him this year. I think he's pretty elite lol.

 

For sure he is amazing! I guess my point was if he wants to put his name with the all timers does he have to get a finals MVP? No denying he already is leaving a legacy but I just wonder what people will say if he has 2 rings and wasn't voted the best player in either series.

 

hes 28, even if people don't think he is "elite", he still has a bit of time to change minds.

 

Finals MVP definitely helps his legacy but not winning one shouldn't take much away from him. They wouldn't be there without him. They wouldn't have won last year without him.

 

I guess at the end of the day it's a tiebreaker type thing if you're comparing but winning championships period is what it's about to me lol. I'm guessing at least one Finals MVP is in his future somewhere if he holds up physically though.

 

Is there an argument rn that the reigning two time MVP isn't elite?

 

Not at all, just wondered if he needed finals MVP if he hoped to be in that top 10-15 ever convo. Wasn't trying to have a hot take or cause controversy

 

It'll help his legacy case for sure.

I think the big thing about Curry's greatness is that he's doing so much in single season formats...what is this, 2.5 seasons or so of dominance? For him to even be considered in the 'All Time Greats' conversation, he needs to sustain this for probably 6+ years. Also impossible to know is what his Ceiling is, and when or if he hits it. Should be fun to watch though!

 

Yeah, it's scary to think he may not be at his ceiling yet. You could easily argue him as most improved player this year and he had just won the MVP.

Second. How can shaq pretend to be a lyft driver and not get recognized. I'm not even in the nba and people ask if I'm in the NBA. He's a hall of famer!

 

Unrelated, but sort of related note. Just found out last week that my 90 yr. old grandma has a picture of herself posing next to Shaq during his Orlando days...

I keep looking I've the numbers. I don't think the Cavs can win a game in this series. I can't figure out anyway they can play defense at the level needed.

I have a weird feeling this series will be much closer than is widely anticipated. I know it's hard to gauge the Cavs with the competition they had in the east, but they were crushing people. I don't care who you're playing, teams in the playoffs don't get beat that badly that consistently. Warriors in 6 for me.
