He also has season tickets and goes to their games a ton. He's not a fan of the team but he has rooting interest which creates bias. What does Bill Simmons have to do with this though?

The only way they can make the team better is if they traded one of the top guys to free cap space and signed a top free agent. If you're getting worse what are you selling to your fan base? Steve balmer is an aggressive owner and wants to win asap. I don't see him believing in the whole "breaking down to build up again". Maybe that's just me. Why would clippers fans be okay with them getting worse? Especially after all that's happened to them in the last few years. They have a history of sucking and now they're finally contending every year, even if they aren't winning. It's a hard sell, that's why I'd be curious as to what happens. Acquiring stuff for griffin without getting anything substantial back is just setting up a rebuild without saying it because like I said unless they're signing Durant or Lebron to replace him, they're not going to be better.


I personally think they should just trade everyone for assets and have a fun competitive team for a few years until they land another all star


That's the last thing I'm going to say about it.

 

Portland fans just think back to game 6 of the second round last year and have faith that no Clippers lead is safe.

Have you ever listened to Simmons talk about the Clippers? He has zero rooting interest in them. He has season tickets because he likes to watch basketball live. He said he's gone to two games this year and can't even bring himself to watch them on TV. It has to do with the conversation because you're saying the only reason anyone would think the team would do good to trade Blake would be due to bias, when there are posters in here shitting on the team agreeing with that. Not to mention Blake saved that franchise and any fan would want him there no matter what.

 

While we're bringing back past playoff series'. Let's all remember this.

 

Oh I know the Clips will fuck up a few games here and there. Long series ahead with lots of Rivers.

 

Steve Balmer is a Doc koolaid drinker that hasn't shown at all he's an aggressive or good owner. They have a horrible GM too.

 

I like to make myself feel better by thinking that no matter how bad Portland plays nothing will be as bad as Damian's rapping.

This was mentioned in a podcast recently (I'm pretty sure The Lowe Post), but that two man V or L pick the Clippers do at the top of the three is weird as hell. I don't think I have ever seen anything like that.
