I do feel bad that it's this dude from the Reds' MLB debut though. That's rough.

 

To be fair though, this is probably literally the worst position he could have been put in for his debut haha.

 

Hahahahahaha I can't imagine a shittier situation to come into. At least it'll be a funny story when he's an old guy.

 

Todd Frazier is just happy he's not being no hit tonight

 

They talked about a similar subject on effectively wild today. Comparing players at their age 29 years. I think it's better to compare honestly by what season they played. And records are set in how wel you can sustain into your 30s.

 

Come on guys, we don't need the insurance at this point.

Arrieta is not human

 

Jake Arrieta is amazing. I'll take a loss in the CG category in my fantasy league to watch a no no any day.

 

WHAT A GAME!!! I absolutely love Jake Arrieta. I love this team!

 

Pretty gutted for Addison Russell, though. 0-6. Yikes.

 

Got to watch this one from the 6th on, was really special. I remember last year during his no hitter against the Dodgers, I was sitting in the Salt Lake City airport refreshing the score on my phone. This was obviously way better.

 

I have to get an Arrieta jersey. I have to.

 

I watched this game from first pitch and I didn't even realize that Arrieta had a no-hitter going until the end of the 5th. He didn't seem super sharp, had walked a couple, but he's Jake fucking Arrieta and he does what he wants, which is not allow hits.

 

Yeah they were just talking about that on the broadcast. Like is he so fucking good that he can be slightly off his game and still throw a no-hitter? God fucking damn.

Three years ago tonight, Jake Arrieta gave up five runs in a 7-4 loss as a starter for the Baltimore Orioles. He was demoted to the minors the next morning.

Didn't realize Cubs had 16 runs on 18 hits on top of it, haha.

 

Bryant knocked 2 homers, one of which was a grand slam... and nobody gives a shit. Poor guy.
