    Be my alibi?

I think this will be the first year in my life that the Brewers won't disappoint me as a full blown tanking/rebuilding season(s) ahead are what we are rooting for!

    Three cheers for cheap beer!

Be sure to drink your Ovaltine.

He had Hundley by at least 10 feet! One year Vlad threw out Tim Raines twice in one series. Once at 3rd then at home. Was incredible considering Raines' speed

On paper, this team is worse than last season. On paper and actual results are two different things, but still.

that sox game was a heart breaker last night. Buckholtz looks like garbage. The back to back homers was a nice consolation prize though

i couldnt watch sports for a while because i was on a mission trip but im a big baseball fan. So can you explain to me what happened between 2014 and 2015 that made the Braves so bad? because even in 2014 they were a decent team. and in 2013 they were a great team. what happened haha?

They were a decent team, who had a ton of bad contracts and a drained farm system. Even if they did win in that short time, they were going to be bad in a few years. You build teams through development and they had the worst ranked farm system in the league. The lineup was a go big or go home lineup. Pitching staff was okay on the front end, bad on the back. They were never really a team built to win a championship. It was better to go ahead and shed the contracts and start over, something they would have inevitably had to do anyways.

It's tough being a fan right now, but this will pay off. It sucked to see my favorite players go but in the end those trades will work out. Currently the Braves have the #1 ranked farm system. On the surface, that means nothing, but in the future that means everything. Also, let's keep in mind they have a lowwww payroll right now. Combine those prospects with a few BIG free agent acquisitions in the offseason and this team could be good again, as soon as next year.

I use the free extension Stealthy on Google Chrome. Its free and masks my IP address from MLB.tv. Only thing I use it for.

Just did some rough math. Cardinals are currently on pass to strike out nearly 2000 times this year.

So you pay for MLB.TV and Unlocator?

@GooberSandwich How many games are you missing if you don't use unmasker? I've rarely been blacked out.

I did last year up until the Mets made the playoffs, then I upgraded my cable subscription to include Fox, TBS and TruTV so I can be sure I caught all the playoff games. I've just hung on to the extra channels (includes SNY which plays most Mets games) and not renewed MLB.tv for now, though I might re-subscribe at some point. I'll probably end up yearning for the ability to watch any game I want, including recaps and all the other goodies that come with it

When I used MLB.tv without Unlocator, I couldn't watch any Mets games through the MLB.tv app, considering I live in NY. I could watch any other games, but Mets games were always blocked. Same with the Yankees.

Same. Gonna see how the Stealthy Extension works and then if not will switch over to unlocator.

Without Unlocator, you are going to be blacked out for every nationally televised game, and any game for any team that is broadcast on a RSN in your area.

I just realized last night that I am all the way down in Chattanooga, TN and have two teams assigned to my local area. I get Braves games...and Reds game, which is weird.

Damn. Well I wouldn't mind springing for the cost of the unlocator. $5 isn't too bad

When I lived in Clarksville, TN according to the map I was claimed by the Reds, Braves, and Cardinals. I only got blacked out when the Cardinals played in Cincinatti though.

MLB.tv shows only the Braves and Reds are blacked out there right now.

They have a wide viewing area, for sure. I'm only five minutes away from Georgia so they stretch down to nearly three states.

Maybe the border was very close. It was also like 2011 when I checked it.

The Cardinals are bad, right? There might be a chance for the Braves to win a game if so.
