Also, my job involves planning sports sections for newspapers, so I spend a good part of my shifts reading MLB copy. So I better do all right in this league, haha.

 

If my job's internet connection ever cut out, I'd immediately fly into panic mode, haha. Whenever the server goes down, even if it's just for a few minutes, it's newsroom-wide hysteria.

 

This sounds like an interesting alternative to fantasy baseball, but a huge time commitment haha. It reminds me of the keeper NBA salary cap league I had going for a while.

I couldn't agree more with that statement. The unfortunate part for me is the Braves are the worst about protecting unwritten rules. At least they used to be, but those guys have all been traded so

They detract from what could otherwise be a fun game and pull in a bigger audience. Nobody wants to watch games with nothing but uptight old dudes playing.

I just don't like the idea of intentionally throwing at anyone. As I mentioned earlier in the thread, I think of Kirby Puckett and how a guy on my home team unintentionally knocked his lights out. It's scary and it's real. To me, that aspect of the old culture needs to go.

 

I'll take those two spots for the sake of increasing my odds...I get three teams, everybody else gets one, that's fair

Funniest loser shame award we did for fantasy that I can remember is having to buy and hang up a Brandon Weeden fathead until the next season.
