Hoping for Raines and Bagwell, realistically. Always hoping for Bonds, Vladimir, Manny, Pudge, and Edgar.

Next year should see Chipper Jones and Jim Thome get in or at least I hope so.

If Chipper isn't first ballot that's horrible.

I feel less certain about Thome. 612 homeruns, 1699 rbi and like a .950 ops but I think Vlad was a better player and he didn't get in first ballot.

I am completely biased towards Thome being added to the HOF. I want him in there.

Now that Selig is in there, Bonds and Clemens both over 50% seems to me they get in with 5 years of ballots left. Not sure what percentage of writers flat out won't budge on not voting for users though.

If Selig is in you kind of have to drop to gig from holding the users back. He allowed it to happen and permeate through the game. And he has the '94 strike on his watch. For all of the good things he did, he had some big negatives too.

He was also also an owner during collusion.

He was nothing but a detriment to the game. As much as people like to trash steroids people loved the game because of it. We watch MLB to see the best players in the world why are we so upset if they're on steroids.

That's kind of where I am at. While I do think in a vacuum taking steroids is cheating, if enough people are doing it, it's kind of a different story. Yeah, it does suck for the people doing it the right way. Also, taking steroids doesn't allow someone to hit a curve ball any better than before. You still need to execute. The HOF is essentially people that executed at an extremely high level.

Yea, a bit but don't think anything was proven. It's trending in the right direction basically.

He is linked to most of the major "players" in PED's, like the different doctors and such, but there was never a smoking gun of evidence. Basically, we can connect the dots. Where there's smoke there's fire kind of situation.

Hopefully Ortiz never gets in just based on the fact that he was "a good guy" and that nonsense. If all the A Rod never gets in then neither should he

If Bonds and Clemens are over 50% now, Ortiz is first ballot. Without his postseasons maybe not, but I think he's a lock.

Super happy that Pudge made it first ballot! Well deserved. He's by far my favorite player of all time, feel fortunate growing up and being able to watch him every opening day!
Anybody else have any baseball traditions they had growing up or even now?

Also happy for Bagwell and Vlad. I spent more time hating Vlad than anything but his 1 year in Arlington made up for all that
