He and Lou Whittaker both. Could not have blown it harder on a double play combo if they tried.

Not to mention that he retired as just the 4th player with 3,000 hits and 500 HR.

Also, I don't know about y'all, but it feels like I look up 20+ players a day on baseball-reference and fangraphs. It's probably where I waste the most time at work. Hear a player's name on a podcast or audiobook, then I gotta look them up and peruse their stats.

Looks like Bautista is going back to the Jays on a 2-year deal in the $35-40MM range.

Was really hoping he'd have to settle for 1 year at $15MM or less.

Either glad no want took his bullshit demands seriously

Interesting absences from the White House ceremony today: Lackey, Wood, Arietta...lol (although I read that Arietta had family health reasons why he couldn't)

I don't think so. My understanding is that Henry Blanco is an actual coach of some kind. Wikipedia says he's a "quality assurance coach," whatever that means. As for David Ross, "I don’t even know what I’m doing,” Ross told MLB.com. “It’s going to be a learning process for me, just getting to see what’s behind the curtain really. I feel like there’s a hall-of-fame front office and a relationship with guys who I have a bond with. They offered to help me grow in my baseball knowledge and try to learn different aspects of what goes on in the organization. I’m really going to be listening. My ears are open.”

Haven't yet watched the White House event today, but seeing the players' instagrams and whatnot is too cool. They seem to be having a blast. Really glad Fowler made the trip.

I'm surprised the jays were so willing to let Edwin and Bautista go.

I know Sonny Gray had a down year, but I would be trying a buy low situation if I was a team looking for a starter. Oakland must not have dropped their asking price because I haven't really heard much about him being traded.

They had better not fuck over Raines with their arbitrary 10 years on the ballot, only 10 votes a year bullshit

As someone that watched baseball during what turns out to be the end of his career I've never heard of time Raines until a a couple years ago when Jonah Keri really started to make a stink.

Are you saying Manny Ramirez? He is not going to get in. Check out the ballot tracker and you'll probably get a good idea
