FUCKIN SAVAGES IN THAT FUCKIN BOX Prestigious

Fuck Yankees are discussing Quintana AND Robertson. I know Quintana's great with four years of control but dammit. This will cost too much. Don't do it Cashman.

But we have solid depth now and brought Chris Sale in. I know he was having a better year than in 2014/15, but I'm glad he's gone now because of his inconsistency. Price, E-Rod, Wright, Sale, Porcello. There are worse starting pitchers in the league. My bigger concern is closing pitching. Could be touch and go.

Next year, maybe. Basically you won't get him. The problem is they have like no starting pitchers lol I feel bad for Tanaka

I could care less honestly (not that I don't feel bad for Tanaka) but I'm fully into the rebuild aspect. They have too many pitchers that aren't great trade bait at this point so you have to see what you have. C.C. was solid and pitched into horrible luck often. And Eovaldi and Severino were the 4th and 5th guys to start the season. Can those spots really go THAT much worse this year? Lol

Cessa and Green showed some potential. And the offense is better since likely:
    Sanchez > McCann
    Bird/Austin > Teixeira
    Holliday > A-Rod
And I expect Headley to have at least one extra base hit before May haha.

I doubt CC gives anything decent again, it would be unbelievable if he does. I don't have faith in Luis Cessa or any other rando. Maybe severino is better. Basically Quintana is way better than anyone else, I doubt they do it anyway so it's a moot point. I agree with rebuilding but there's a 0.1% chance they can get an amazing deal that you have to go with.

Oh I think Quintana is great. But there's no way they can get him without either Torres or Frazier so I want no part of that. Yeah you're getting four years of Quintana but the first two it's not likely he gets you the AL East so it's like what's the point to me

And yeah I don't expect the same from C.C. but they're stuck with what they got at the moment.

Feels like there's been Dodgers-Dozier interest for weeks now.

I swear I made a post once saying that Dodgers are literally interested in anyone.

I just made it to the fourth chapter of The Best Team Money Can Buy and it's been so good so far.

It also helps that when I first started truly following the Dodgers was around 2013 so I missed all the big things so this was a nice recap.

It was also pretty crazy to read about the A Gon trade and how much the Dodgers wanted him. The best part being how they lured the Red Sox owner away to get the deal done.

Yeah I don't think anyone will question how much of an overpayment it was.

I do think Molly Knight put it best though with how that trade was a start of a new Dodgers era. He has become a face of the new the Dodgers while also being super consistent.

Good point and the new breed of people running the organization has definitely made them something better even if they can't do shit in the playoffs hah!

bought Moneyball last night and excited to start it after I finish the Dodger book finally.

I was also tempted to buy The Cardinal Way just because they had it there also.

Has anyone read The Cardinal Way? I want to read it but I'm also not looking for a Cardinals jerk off fest of how great the organization is.

Anyone see Syndergaard call Harper a douche on Instagram? Hilarious. If there was any other proof needed besides World Series game 3 and last year's Wild Card game, Syndergaard has the grit the Mets have lacked for a long, long time.

No, but from what I've heard about it, it's more about baseball philosophy and scouting than a "We are the Cardinals so we do it this way" sort of thing.

Bummed about Davis signing with the A's. That game tying home run in game 7 was absolutely incredible.

I think daily about that home run and how I spent the next 20 minutes face down, completely enveloped in my sweatshirt, on the floor of my girlfriend's room.

Same here. Aside from that monstrous home run, he really struggled in the playoffs but I think the biggest value of having him was his presence in the locker room, a veteran who kept things loose and obviously, his base running. I will miss him.

Seems like now is the time teams are hiring for the year. The Angels, White Sox, Reds, Rockies, Yankees, Blue Jays and Nationals are hiring "In Game Social Media Coordinators," which essentially sounds like team tweeters.

Also, the Cubs are hiring for a variety of positions.

Yea, I've looked into this before. They aren't at all easy to get though, I always wanted one but I'm not the biggest baseball guy so I never applied for those.

"The Astros were willing to give up their top two pitching prospects, Frances Martes and David Paulino, their second-ranked overall prospect in outfielder in Kyle Tucker, and two additional prospects."

Did the Rays fuck up not taking this for Archer? I feel like they fucked up but not sure lol.

If you're comparing it to the Sale package it's not as good.
