12m, I thought he'd get more for some reason. I guess his defense was shaky in his first year as an OFer

  3. I still can't decide what team I want to root for in attempt to get back into baseball.

Could've sworn he was doing poorly but part of that led to injury I believe. Not completely sure though.
They should just deal Blackmon for pitchers already.

Based on seeing you root for the Hornets and Canes in other threads, I would say either pick a team that has a player you like, or one that is nearby some family so you can catch a game or two. Assuming you are in the Charlotte area, I highly doubt you are feeling any tie to the Braves haha.

I would just watch some teams and see if anything sticks. Since youre gonna in the Vegas area you could try watching dbacks and Rockies.

I feel like things are setting up for Edwin to sign with Texas or Boston.

They've had talks over the last few days. But, I still think it's a stretch. The Indians got a new minority owner/investor, got a bundle of money from the WS, and will see increased ticket sales this year. A few contracts dropped off this off-season, so there is a way to offer up a big contract. Last tweet for Edwin I saw was that he has yet to receive a 3-year for $60M offer from any team. The Tribe is definitely being patient since similar teams are all in on the same names like Trumbo, Edwin, and Bautista. Tribe is also looking at Napoli and Lind. Cleveland is also weighing giving up it's first pick. Teams like Baltimore essentially net out because they have Trumbo. I would say the qualifying offers are keeping things quiet early. Local media and fans are all about Edwin though. That's the guy everyone wants and rightfully so. I just think if Texas or Boston want him he's theirs.

    BOO

    Lmao

I know exactly who you should root for, but I might be biased.

  21. I mean, I like the Cubs but I don't want to just jump in and claim the best team in the league as "my team".

I've narrowed it down to a few teams. Can't decide between them though.

Yeah, be a fan of the Mike Trouts. Not the angels, though. I'm a Cubs fan way out here in Vegas, so it's doable.

Also, bye Soler. Always really liked him, but that kid was a lazy outfielder when he wasn't hurt. I'll miss those HRs, though.

  24. I'm also in Vegas. I went to a couple Dodgers games last season but for some reason I'd feel dirty if I rooted for them lol

Such a good move by the Cubs (barring further injuries). To deal an OF that wasn't going to play every day for a top tier closer, and avoid the $80M contracts for the closers on the market is just good front office work.
