Thats a ton. Still don't think they're WS team but I fully expect them to go after Edwin now too.

Really wanted Sale to go to Washington so that Chicago had a tougher time pushing through the NL. I am not ready to buy the reports that the Tribe is talking with Edwin and has a contract offer ready.

 

I literally laughed at the Edwin reports because there's no chance that's happening. In fact, Buster was just on ESPN Cleveland radio saying it's a 'longshot possibility' and that reports are 'way overblown.' Classic case of an agent planting rumors to get more money from other teams.

 

Haha yeah, I just feel like Edwin's agent is feeling a little pressure now that some of the market for a DH/1B bat has dwindled. Definitely trying to create a market for a higher payroll team like Boston.

Gonna slightly disagree with this just because Atlantas farm doesn't seem to be developing a lot of these guys the same way they were trending beforehand. Swanson is pretty equivalent to moncada in terms of high prospects but moncadas upside is much higher and those are the main pieces of their respective deals. I mean maybe Swanson may become a jeter type but moncada has really high upside but once again this is looking at it during the times of those trades,

 

Damn, like they need more help.

 

Replacing Chapman with Davis is definitely a drop off.
