The home field advantage being determined by the All Star game will always be stupid.

That being said if the home team doesn't sweep the first two, it feels like the pressure is instantly reversed.

Chris Coghlan for Heyward is very interesting. Cogs has been a .252/.391/.388 hitter since rejoining the Cubs in the middle of the year, good for a 111 OPS+. And he's 1-3 with a homer off Kluber in his career.

 

Love DH'ing Schwarbs. It's an extra lefty bat vs Kluber, it's a great story and emotional lift. If he knocks one out, or even gets a hit the team will be beyond amped. Also it frees up Joe to bring in one of WC, Soler, Almora as righties when they go to Miller.

 

Well Miller is .178 vs lefties and .152 vs righties. But that is the standard thinking yes lol.
