Whoever wins the NL will win the World Series. My Blue Jays lost to Cleveland because they couldn't hit a beachball. The only starting pitcher they have is Kluber. After that its pretty bad. The Cubs are so stacked its not even funny, the Dodgers need to win because I hate the Cubs, however I pretend the Cubs to win in four.

 

I think you might be under rating the Indians there a bit.

I mean both Merritt and Tomlin don't have overpowering stuff, which I assume is where those comments stem from, but they have hit their spots in pretty limited innings. The Jays only saw those guys once or twice. At that point it turns over to a very good bullpen. It's a high stakes way to play, no doubt, but it's been very effective to this point.

 

i mean, people said that about the ALDS and ALCS. literally the same shit. who knows

Rizzo's 1st AB walk up song is the best. I love how much the crowd and dugout get into it, clapping along and wooing with the "woo" part of the song.

Almora starting in place of Heyward. Roughly equal defense for a better bat + better matchup of right-handed hitter vs LHP.

I'm nervous about 5-8 because of their youth and how impatient they can be, but I'm hoping for the best

 

they'll be ready. i'm super confident that we'll be able to at least put up 2-3 runs and i think kyle will be lights out. this is it!

 

Can't be worse than throwing Heyward up in the middle of that. Kershaw throws tons of strikes too so it's not like we're gonna be forgoing a lot of walks even with aggressive hitters.

Haha. I was never on that bandwagon. But I do remember a lot of love for Heyward from those nerds on the old board.

 

Loser? He's had an unfortunate year at the plate, which will get fixed, and is one of the best defenders. Don't be dumb.

 

No other player ever has had an early season wrist injury impact the rest of their season. It's never happened before! /s

 

They may be stacked but A) the team on paper isn't the same as irl, when their bats aren't alive they're among the worst I imagine. B)I'd say Cleveland is equally as stacked considering they're already in the WS
