    BOO

@Zoshchenko ah, well that's good to know. I guess we'd have to look at our pitchers vs. batters and see which work better. That's too much, though haha.

I'm on the west coast, but I would be 100% cool with no more west coast times. It doesn't affect me and works better for everyone east, so that's good with me. My grandma wouldn't have to try to stay up super late.

I was at the Giants game. Brutal loss. probably the most frustrated I've ever been over anything sports related. I've been very fortunate to go to a lot of big games and interact with many opposing fans and I'll say this. Cubs fans are the worst fans I have ever seen. 90% of the ones I talked to and were around were extremely cocky and rude. In 2014 I was at game 3 of the World Series and the Royals fans were awesome even after they won. I couldn't believe the attitude the Cubs fans had for a fan base of a team with no championships in he last century. Being at this game made me hope the Cubs get eliminated.

    also.....

Bochy should have left Moore in the game.

Best moment of the game was when Bouchey came out for his trillionth pitching change and he literally looked like he was walking for the sake of walking...no idea what to do "idk..idk...Crawford wanna pitch? We're fucked no matter what I do...fuck:

He overthought and over-managed the shit out of that situation. Everyone in stands was okay until he brought in Romo. Such a bad idea after his poor performance the night before. Just makes no sense to me. But hey, Bochy is a legend. He's one of the best bullpen strategists the game has seen. He just had an off second half. Can't really figure it out.

It all goes to show you how critical having a clutch strong closer is. People that say it doesn't matter are wrong. That's why I wanted them to do whatever it took to get Miller.

    Miller isn't a closer.

Not in his current role with the Indians, but how is he not? ...sure looked like a damn fine closer everytime I watched him close for the Yankees?

He was great in the closing role while Chapman was out. He would have been an outstanding fit in my opinion. The Giants need to stop trying to fill the position from within. It's not going to work and it really hurt them this year. Casilla crying is ridiculous. They guy blew it time and time again when he had the opportunity.

And as far as Moore, it's funny that he was allowed to throw 133 pitches going for a no-hitter but couldn't leave him in for a must-win playoff game. Bochy is getting a bit of a pass cause three rings though.

Exactly. You can't really fault him for taking him out. You have to be able to count on your pen. But considering the extra inning game the night prior, and the way he was still dealing in the 8th, it probably was the wrong move. He could have let him start the 9th to see what happens.

I mean he won the Mariano Rivera award last year. Only thing about Miller is he doesn't have the ego that most closers do that keeps them from being good in any inning but the 9th (see Storen, Papelbon, etc) but he most certainly is closer material.

That's what I mean. His role with the Indians is far more interesting than just being a closer. Also, interesting that 2015 was Miller's first year really closing.

Mostly I'm just being pedantic because he said Cubs fan suck, so may as well pile it on

He's got the stuff for sure. The Indians are lucky to have him. I think the Giants should have established a closer after deciding to remove Casilla. It's typically a plague to a bullpen when no one has a grasp on their role.

I'm just commenting based on what I saw. Me my Dad and brother were standing in our section, stunned from the loss. And a bunch of Cubs fans move right in front of us and start belligerently singing some song. Is that necessary? I wouldn't do that if it were reversed. The curse is going to live on...

    BOO

So, they were excited their team just won (by scoring 4 runs in the 9th inning) and clinched the NLDS against The Giants who were still a little scary, and that makes them the worst? Gotcha.

Singing Go Cubs Go is 100% necessary after every win.

Big fan of fans celebrating wins (of any team), especially when it means moving on into the playoffs.

What do you expect? Golf clapping? Some sort of, "Oi, good win, gents. Now let's sit quietly and mosey on out?" What world do you live in?

Maybe reexamine your feelings on this and come back to me

I would not barge right in front of the opposing fans and do that. You won, it's over, enjoy it. Go sing with your own fans on the visitors side. Show some respect.

I was in the restroom before the game and an unprovoked Cubs fans was telling everyone that we had no chance. We all of course fired back with comments at that point, but why antagonize? Why the attitude? Of course this doesn't represent all their fans. I just wasn't impressed with the sample I saw.

Well yeah, I give credit to Terry for using your best when you need it. Besides the fact that Dellin Betances has been shaky as closer since Miller left, but it feels wasted when your best reliever sits and waits for a lead in the 9th. I hope we get a closer so he goes back to his role as a guy who can come in in the 7th and pitch two innings at more important times.

On to more interesting stuff, I hope Rich Hill and Scherzer both throw 12 innings of perfect ball and strike out 25 batters each, then Seager and Harper exchange solo shots for 12 more innings until the world explodes.
