    The rivalry is back on

This is even worse than the Braves' mismanagement of Kimbrel a few years back

Not to forget Bourn just completely missing that ball that led to the tying run

  7. a deadspin comment that shows that this isn't the first time Showalter has done this:
    "
Apropos reminder (that has the added benefit of scratching a Yankees fan’s scab):

In the deciding 1995 ALDS Game 5, the Yankees took a 1 run lead in the top of the 11th against the Mariners. Buck left in Jack McDowell instead of bringing in Wetteland, one of the best closers in baseball that year. Mariners put up 2 runs that inning for the win."

I must've blacked that memory out cause I didn't remember that lol. But that's awful. And Buck did lose his job after that one..

Mistake or not, the O's are so dumb if they let Showalter go at this point.

Huge mistake, but they were the second wildcard, not like they were like a WS favorite in game 7 of the ALCS or something. I'd be surprised if he was fired.

He's such a huge reason for that franchise's resurrection from being utter bottom dwellers, too.

I forgot Jose Reyes was on the Mets. Fuck him, go Giants

    Fun must be always. Prestigious

E40 was at game 6 when the sharks lost the Stanley Cup and game 7 for the Warriors losing the finals.

He is also at the Mets/Giants game so I feel sorry for the Giants.

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

I wish Reyes wasn't on this team, because I really don't want the Giants to advance.

My mom is trying to tell me that "heart and soul" is more important than ability / advanced stats. This is wild. I've never really had an IRL conversation about "the will to win" being an important trait.

What is the point with challenges, when they hardly ever overturn wrong calls?

tbf i think they get the call right more often than not, though that was a bad call

I only got to watch a few innings before I headed out but it felt like mets were chasing every pitch.

meanwhile the Giants were just waiting it out and dragging the pitch count up.

I don't get fox sports 1 or MLB network wtf MLB? I'm gonna have to go on drakula stream like a Neanderthal for the Cubs series

/r/mlbstreams on reddit had this ultra crispy stream for last night's game. I'm able to use my dad's AT&T log-in info to watch pretty much any sports stream, but the connection was so choppy for some reason that I ended up on reddit and was so pleasantly surprised at the quality of the stream.
