Man, so happy the Braves won their final game at the Ted. A 1-0 gem thrown by Teheran. Lone run driven in by Freddie. Great way to finish up.

lol that's an odd answer to my question.

Gomez sure did turn his season around in Arlington though and Lucroy was a hell of a boon for us.

They don't care about the Giants. They just know Kershaw's psyche can't handle another game where he get blown up by the Cardinals.

Any idea when MLB will announce LDS game times? Surprised they haven't already.

Now that the regular season is over (and since I just did the /r/baseball google form), here's who I would choose for the end of season awards

    AL MVP: Mike Trout
    AL CY Young: Zach Britton
    AL ROY: Gary Sanchez

    NL MVP: Kris Bryant
    NL CY Young: Jon Lester
    NL ROY: Corey Seager

No AL SPs really stand out to me at all and I'm not particularly swayed by accumulating 20 wins (Porcello, Happ), so I say fuck it, why not give it to the closer who had an incredible year.

I expect Betts to get MVP and Fulmer to get ROY, but I think it'd be cool if Sanchez got it for his incredible two months.

As for the NL, I think there are really strong cases to make for Scherzer, Syndergaard, and Kershaw (especially if Britton wins the AL), but the homer in me wants Lester or Hendricks.

Odor is first player to hit 30+ HR and walk less than 20 times in a season. Quite remarkable really.

Also insane to think that Rangers best hitter Avg wise is none other than...Elvis Andrus

Woah, did Robin Ventura get fired? It was announced that Rick Renteria is now the White Sox's manager.

I read yesterday that it was Robin's personal decision that the White Sox needed a new voice. If that's true, it's pretty indicative of how poorly the team is run that after 5 years of bad managing it came down to Ventura himself stepping down.

White Sox need a big overhaul. Rick Rentaria was well-regarded during his year managing the Cubs, so that's something.

Now Walt Weiss is stepping down. I find this weird that these managers aren't getting 'fired' but just walking away.
