Surprised no one said anything about Matt Holliday time with the Cardinals coming to an end. He just came off the DL to give him a send off and he hits a HR.

Seriously one of the most underrated players in baseball the past decade or so.

And that'll do it for AL Home field. Let's do this and finally bring that Ring to Texas!

Isn't Mookie a true 5 tool player as well though? I mean I do agree 100% that Trout is the best player in baseball. I don't think his stats are that far and away enough above Mookie (until you start getting into the advanced metrics and everything, I know) to justify taking it away from a player that has been right there with him in most things, and also is a great defensive outfielder (made a ton of plays against the Yankees when I've watched them) and the difference between Trout playing cf and Mookie playing rf is negligible to me when Fenway is probably one of the bigger rf in the game. I do feel bad for Trout that he's on such a bad team. I like him. I mean, who dislikes him? Lol. I just love watching Mookie that much more (aside from the aforementioned robberies against NY) and am rooting for him *shrugs*

But yeah, I don't expect to win this argument lol.

AND he had 499 home runs coming into last night's game that he's hit while on the Sox. To make it 500 with a game winner? That's vintage David Ortiz. I love it.

  9. I hope tonight doesn't get rained out. Then again I assume it'll just be tomorrow afternoon and I'll be in Boston anyway doing some sightseeing.

I don't understand MLB sometimes. You can't review whether a ball was caught on a line or if it short-hopped the ground in the infield apparently? The fuck?

With all the absolutely unending hate Justin Upton was getting this season from Tiger fans (granted he was playing dreadfully) I am so, so glad he's turned into Carlos Delgado this month. It's been such a blast to watch.

Love Mookie. Hope he wins MVP. Trout absolutely deserves it over him.

Feel bad for King Felix. He's closing in on the discussion of "best player to never make the playoffs"

So many old Braves in the house at Turner Field today. Chipper, Furcal, Giles, Sheffield, Javy, Laroche, among many others.

I love Papi as much as any non-Tiger player I've ever loved but if he can put the Red Sox over the Jays today and keep the Tigers alive I will buy his jersey tonight

Were so many possibilities for crazy play-in games just to get to the wild card game and of course we got none of them. ZZZZZZ

pretty much happens like that every year haha. no worries, that's why they created this thing called "wild card games", to ensure we always get at least two
