Anyway I found out because I could only see one side of this exchange

 

To be honest I didn't know it wasn't there and I have quite a few hats.

 

Reached up to feel the side of my Braves hat to make sure it wasn't there when I read that.

yeah I just noticed my Dodgers hat has the new era logo but I never really cared that it did.

 

Who cares if the New Era logo is on there? What am I missing lol

 

It's gross - it was the last piece of authentic equipment to not be adorned with a makers mark

 

I really don't see how that small logo is such a big deal

Yep. It's nice having an all-whatever color hat, with the only differences being the front logo and back MLB logo. I should probably stock up, considering I wear a size they don't sell in stores.

With the way the Braves have hit since the All-Star break, I feel like all they have to do is add pitching in the off-season and they can win next year.

Also, props to Inciarte for the most clutch catch I've seen in recent memory. Amazing.

 

With the somewhat ignominious endings to the Sox careers of Pedro, Nomar, Clemens, Manny, etc., it's pretty fucking wonderful to see the fairytale ending that Ortiz's legend is getting this year.

 

I think they'll add some bats, too. They have a lot of pieces to build around that you didn't expect at the start of the year, at least not this soon. Of the long list of castoffs they had starting this year, Flowers and Markakis seem to be the two that have stuck the most, and Inciarte + Swanson + Kemp + Freeman have been really good for them. I could see them re-acquiring a guy like Brian McCann to be their main catcher next year, maybe adding another outfielder that can be their #4 guy out there, or can even push Markakis down to that spot. I think it's somewhat vital to have depth if you're going to qualify for the playoffs, but I do think the Braves are close to good enough offensively right now, which is something I never would have said a few months ago.

That pitching staff needs a lot of work. I find it crazy how well Teheran ends up outperforming his FIP every year, and everyone always predicts him to fall apart but he continues to put up really solid numbers for the Braves, and he's put up a lot of innings as well.
