I think the way that Ortiz has been honored all over the league this year shows that he may be past that point of hate. But you are right, all of those names are fairly polarizing. I just think Ortiz has been well respected all over this season. Hell, I had a ton of friends and even family going to what could be his "last series" in Detroit earlier this year for that specific purpose. Maybe fans of the Yankees and other AL East rivals hate him to no end, but I would definitely think that he's well respected at this point.

  2. I mean I think that's relatively few. Ortiz gets a decent amount of hate, sure. Hanley, I guess? I don't know why he would but I suppose maybe people see him as lazy? I have no idea why anyone would hate Pedroia. He's perfect

Die hard Yankee fan and I have nothing but respect for Pedroia. I have never heard anything about him being polarizing or hated or anything. Mariano Rivera said in his book if he could have any second baseman, it would be Pedroia.

Maddon should go back to a 5 man rotation by firing Hammel into the sun.

I hate watching Teixeira slam grounders right into the shift so much.

We've stranded 10 runners on base through 4 innings. Been really struggling with RISP lately

I keep thinking this. Assuming they play it right we could see this core for years and years, and in the end feel about them the way we feel about Pedroia and Ortiz.

Wow, had a short rain delay before that didn't get Kershaw out of the game but flat out shocked they're letting him go back out after a second rain delay of 45 minutes.

Cant wait till the Yankees season is over. Wonder who will be the next manager.

I was seeing talks of that on twitter but it felt like the general consensus is that Dodgers need to start getting Kershaw more pitches before playoffs.

It also helped he was warming up during the delay.

Yeah sure he threw underneath. Just don't think I've seen anybody come back out after that long a delay.

Idk, Michael Kay seemed to think he's incredibly worn out and there's a real chance he leaves when his contract is up. I know its not anything official, just thought it was interesting

Oh yeah after next year? Yeah I heard that. Like Kay said I wouldn't be shocked. You look at him talk to the media everyday and he looks like he'd rather be anywhere else haha. And just this year up to A-Rod leaving had to be a huge drain.

Kershaw is a crazy man for sure. I'm a little disappointed they didn't let him go a full 6 but man Dodgers offense during Kershaw games is so bad.

Considering he started pitching just after four just staying ready that long is a bit much. And it's a good thing teams can't just sign players for the playoffs, cause whoever plays the Dodgers would load up on lefties. .214 against lefties is wow.

Yeah they've been so bad it's insane. I think they even tried targeting players to hit against lefties at deadline and they still can't hit.

Idk the whole A-Rod circus was exhausting. If he played him every question was "if he's been so bad why is he playing tonight" and if he sat him every question was "well he hit (for example) Bartolo Colon great a decade ago, why ISN'T he playing". It was such a no-win situation and management let it hang around too long. Idk I was burnt out on it and I'm not involved with the team lol.

In other news, Betances has turned into Jon Lester. Can't hold runners on and can't throw anywhere except from the rubber to home plate. They have to sign a closer.

We are learning fast that this is definitely not the 2015 Mets. We're gonna have to squeeze this one out. 10-6 against crappy teams....that's all we need

Yanks really pushing for that WC by signing Billy Butler
