That Naquin inside the parker was wild. And the Reds' Michael Lorenzen hitting his first career homer as a relief pitcher his first game off of the bereavement list after his father died... wow. What a moment.

Along with what others have said. If the game is delayed due to weather it isn't automatic that they call it. Sometimes they'll wait it out and complete it, depends on the umpires

Was at the Tribe game last night and can confirm the Naquin walk (run?) off HR was amazing. All of the Canadian sadness made for a profound moment of patriotism.

 

Fun fact of the day: I have a card I've always wanted to get signed by Jeter (you can send in things to Steiner Sports when players do signings)

.....Steiner charges 750 dollars if you want to send in a measly baseball card.

I just can't see why that would happen. Bryant has been so much better and provides so much more value. Rizzo is amazing and I love him, but a plus defender at 3B/LF who also runs very well and kills the ball? MVP. Rizzo would be an honorable second or third place finisher.

 

I'm also weird in where I'll give the nod more so to a guy that does it more so on his own. You know the old " take him out of the lineup and how much does that hurt the team" and I think Murphy totally wins that game.

I just saw on ESPN what they did with the ball Bartman stole from Alou and it's absolutely ludicrous. Holy lol.

 

Did they blow up Alou's glove because he sucks? Did they play the quote where years later he admitted he couldn't catch that ball yet his hissy fit on the field ruined a mans life? Fuck Moisés Alou and his piss soaked hands.

 

Seriously. Alou's overreaction is what blew the whole thing up. And what gets me, is there are like 3 other fans reaching for that ball. Bartman just happened to be the closest.

 

And this is why Cubs fans suck

 

lol any self-respecting or even self-aware Cubs fan (or Chicagoan, Illinoisian) will admit that the Bartman debacle is a giant black mark on the fan base, city, everyone.

If anyone should be a scapegoat from the 2003 NLCS collapse, I'd pin it on a mixture of Dusty Baker for running starters into the ground and Alex Gonzalez for booting a double play ball right after the Alou/Bartman clash.

But yeah Cubs fans just suck /s

 

every fan base sucks including my fan base is my common theme.

 

Watching that made me want to actively root against the Cubs lol.
