Is Dansby the best Braves prospect since Chipper? Andruw?

 

Heyward was probably a bigger prospect than Dansby

 

I dont get the Swanson call up at all. He has never touched AAA, in fact, he was hitting .277 between A and AA, so he wasnt exactly tearing it up. More importantly though, we are two weeks away from expanded rosters and free call ups. By calling him up now, the Braves just burned one year of team control. If this is a team that can make a push for the playoffs and they think he can help, then go for it, but when you are the worst team in the majors this year, why are you burning a year off of team control on your best prospect for two extra weeks?

I won't complain seeing how my favorite team is in the same division, it just baffles me that they are doing this now.

Another question since I'm new to the whole baseball thing...I was listening to the radio and they were giving the scores from around the league. One game a team (I don't remember who, Boston?) was up 8-1 and they said the game was stopped in the 7th. Is there like a skunk rule in baseball or something?

 

it started to rain and the rain never stopped....once you realize the rain will probably not stop anytime soon, the game can be called.

 

Also, a game can be official after 5 innings have been completed if it has to be called cause of weather.

 

Ah I see. How long has that rule been around? My dad took my grandma to Camden Yards way back in the late 90's and the rain delayed the game so long that they got home around 1am. Luckily that was the game Eddie Murray hit his 500th home run so I think it was worth it.

 

its been a rule forever. Probably longer than anyone you know has been alive.

 

I couldn't believe that this is the first time the Cubs have ever swept the Brew at a Wrigley in 4 games, but then quickly rememberd how badly the Cubs have sucked for most of my life lol

 

Also, the Brewers really haven't been in the NL for a long time.
