FUCKIN SAVAGES IN THAT FUCKIN BOX Prestigious

If he was never a good player, he would've been released with no notice a month ago so that's not true. He's not beloved. Yankee Stadium is the only stadium in the majors where he would receive a majority positive response. I agree he's a top ten player but celebrating him more than what they are would feel forced and awkward. It's a shame but this is what it is. I'm happy for him that he managed to find some genuine humility since the suspension that he's even able to leave on any positive note. That did not seem even one percent possible when he was going to sue everybody in baseball for his own fuck ups.

Edit: while unlikely, and I don't at all expect them to make it, how is 3 and a half games out of the 2nd wild card with I think 48 games to play "out of a race"

I always really liked A-Rod. It sucks to see him go. He was such a big part of my childhood from a young age.

Aaron Judge apparently played at Fresno State so I'm always rooting for local people to do good.

for the record. In early June i said that the mets should be sellers. Trade Granderson, trade Neil Walker, trade Colon.

we dont do any of that....and in the end we are now Dilson Herrera-less going forward. A possible 2B of the future and/or a solid trade chip for when a deal that makes sense comes around.

two months later, the Yankees are the fun, young, exciting team with a bright future and we're the fucking jokes of the city again. And it's not just that we're bad, the team is a MESS! Injured starting pitchers, bad defense, and an offense with absolutely no structure or plan in place.

i realize there are a ton of injuries on the team and that doesn't help, but i mean, im fucking concerned as hell for next year too

And I mean he's on a World Series contender. You can't suck it up for two months? Just has to be one of the worst teammates ever.

Most players have said he is a great teammate and a great clubhouse guy. Even after the choking thing with Bryce some players were making comments about how he is a good teammate. Cole Hamels absolutely loved the guy when they were in Philly together.

He consistently kills us but I've always enjoyed watching him. I'll never forget his walk off home run during the last game of the 2011 season to knock the Red Sox out and give the Rays the last playoff spot.
