    The rivalry is back on

Definitely too early to call him a bust, and he'll get plenty of chances over the next few years to prove himself, but it doesn't feel like as much of a sure thing as it did last preseason either.

Went to bed way too late after that 15 inning Seattle-Detroit game last night.

    Kyle Seager is my hero

i still dont understand what the hell sandy was thinking with the Jay Bruce deal. Not that i think Dilson is great by any means, but this was clearly NOT the year to go for it or at the very least not a year where we should give up assets. ESPECIALLY for ANOTHER all or nothing, poor defensive outfielder.

With all of the injuries, simply use this as a year to test out Conforto and Nimmo etc.

And now we fucking have Granderson AND Bruce signed for next year.....gross

I'm glad there wasn't replay when I was in little league. There were moments that definitely did not need repeating.

I never got into the LLWS because the field dimensions were significantly smaller than what I played on at the same age. The mound is so close and the bases are short.

David Dahl just tied the record for a hitting streak to start a career. Glad to see him come out of the gates hot after injuries derailed him in the minors for a while.

This last week has made me realize I can't wait for the circus that always revolves around A-Rod to be gone.

I find it hard to believe any team picks him up after witnessing this mess the last week.

Excellent point on the Michael Kay show about how people are complaining that A-Rod isn't getting fair treatment from the Yankees, he's getting a far better send-off than Joe Torre, Bernie Williams and Jorge Posada. All people that were far more beloved by Yankees fans and deserved better endings from the team. Considering where A-Rod was two years ago he should feel pretty content with this honestly.

At the end of the day it comes down to A Rod being a better player than Posada, Williams and Torre as a manager. A Rod for all his good and bad points is a top 10 player of all time and he is going out like he was never a good player on a team out of a race.
