I dont think they will make the playoffs. Not with Cubs, Nats, Giants, Dodgers, Cards, Mets and Marlins in the mix.

I still think they're better than a handful of teams, especially if they trade for archer or someone like that. Trading for a starter now while everyone is calling around trying to pry someone is going to probably cost much more than trading for one in the offseason Idk

They might be able to make it into the postseason if a few things fall the right way, but I just dont see them being able to make a run in them at all.

Can someone clue me into why the Braves would have talks about getting Brian McCann or Matt Kemp? Lol

Watching Brian McCann everyday, his offense is running out fast lol. He's painful to watch bat most of the time at this point. Unless they think a fan favorite is going to sell that many tickets idk.

It feels like they're a long ways away from competing with the Nats. Like, the Braves entire starting lineup (except for Freddie) is composed of guys that would be 4th & 5th outfielders and utility guys for every other team in baseball. They can't just go out on the FA market and sign a complete team in one off-season.

I can see Coppy doing something creative and acquiring these washed-up hacks without losing valuable assets and adding significant payroll.

He's had a breakout season. It would be a pretty fair deal, not often you deal a top catcher prospect for a top catcher haha I feel like they'll give slightly more than Mejia up but maybe not.

    The rivalry is back on

They better be eating a good bit of the contact, but yes please get rid of Olivera even if it means Matt Kemp

Hahahaha I've been calling them that for awhile now. It makes me feel better when I talk about their failures.

At least the nats can successfully win the division for sure now. The Mets can maybe compete in two years lol >_<

What a surprise, Yankees play really well against 4 good teams in a row and now they're gonna lose a series to Tampa Bay.

Just fucking sell already. Cut A-Rod. Get rid of Hicks however you have to. Stop absolutely wasting two roster spots.

There's not much they can sell for, most of the teams that were dying for help already made trades. That's why they jumped on that Chapman deal asap lol they probably wont get much for anything else, or at least anything remotely close to what people thought. They'll probably trade miller in the off season.

Lol I know unfortunately. It would be great if the Braves took McCann but I find it hard to believe. I feel bad for Sanchez in AAA. But legitimately in my whole time as a Yankees fan (24 years now) nothing has frustrated me as much as them sticking with Hicks and A-Rod. Teixeira you gotta run out there without Bird, but there's just no excuse for those other two. It feels like they just keep them there to spite everyone who rightly knows better.

The team is boring as hell, it just continued regressing but I mean what can you do right? The gambles they made in FA didn't work out the way they hoped. I feel like mcann, Gardner, and maybe ellsbury could be traded at any time for peanuts just to liquidate the contracts. It must feel weird seeing the Mets as the team who's competitive and trying to make big moves while the Yankees become the young and hopeful team (at some point). The rangers haven't made any moves yet, they're probably the best partner for the Yankees right now but it seems like they're going to take it to the deadline and try to find better deals.

If the Cards had any love for me right now, they'd shoot Jaime Garcia into the sun.

Part of me feels spoiled for complaining lol. Cause they start shedding those contracts after this year, but this team, management down to players is just so damn stubborn. They're still above .500 but we just gotta suffer through this team right now. I think Bryan Mitchell has a lot of upside still, Severino, Bird and Judge could really give the team a lift next year. They've made some good moves the last few years to get things relatively back under control. Ellsbury and McCann's contracts kind of hurt but they're peanuts compared to Tex, A-Rod and C.C. who are thankfully almost out of here. Definitely the most boring team probably since 92.

Some dude on Bleacher Report's FB page is going on about how they need to bring McCann home? Why?
