No it doesn't. Think about it.

The Braves have never won a World Series game in that venue. They've barely won any playoff games there. How many opposing teams have clinched a playoff series at Turner Field? Since it's opening... The Marlins, Padres, Cardinals, DBacks, Giants, Cubs, Astros, The Giants (again), The Cardinals (again) have all celebrated a playoff series clinching win at the Ted.

Burn Turner Field down. I hate that place. Fulton County Stadium was where all the good memories were.

He had more total bases that night than Pete Kozma had in 2015 on 100++++ PAs.

The Cubs have had the Reds number as of late, so I'm hoping they can get back on track after getting trounced by the Mets last series.

It's so great getting to watch him everyday. I also plan on picking up his jersey by the end of the month so that's exciting.

and in other news I get to watch Astros top prospect tomorrow and I'm super excited to see him. Last year I saw Correa while he was in Fresno and it was a blast. The Astros replacing the Giants in Fresno has been a blessing in so many ways for local baseball.

woke up i'm in the in-between honey

The Giants are down their starting right fielder, starting second baseman and starting third baseman, are actually onto their backup to the backup to the backup infielders, their LF spent half the month on the DL, their CF is about to go on the DL and they are fielding about four of their Opening Day starters a game. And they have the most wins in MLB!

Are Mets fans excited about Reyes being active in a few days or even signed at all?

Generally speaking, yes. The main change is the amount of coverage each team gets with better technology and more media outlets reporting. You just tend to hear about each and every transaction in the paper, twitter/online, team pre-game show, during the game broadcast, etc. Back in the '90s, you might hear if Smoltzy has to do a rehab start, but you may not have always heard who gets the temporary call-up. Likewise, if the backup outfielder gets placed on the 15-day dl, that may not have been newsworthy back then without doing some digging. Now it is. More people are interested in understanding what their teams are doing and it extends down to the farm teams. People want to know how the big prospects are doing and what their timeline is for call-up.

As far back as I know, the option years have always existed for prospects. Understanding when those end can help fans understand trades made better, or understand why certain free agents are let go. I think the overall depth of fan interest has increased over time. Just looking at the video games advancement sort of illustrates that depth pretty nicely. I think that is true for most sports though. Early Nintendo games maybe had actual team names. Griffey baseball for Super Nintendo had the stadiums, uniforms, and fake players based on the actual players. N64 Griffey, you got actual rosters. MVP Baseball from EA or the 2K series, you had farm systems added, along with more robust salary implications. Now, it's to the point where you have actual prospects and actual CBA rules to follow. Pretty crazy how quickly it's taken off.

Excited for Frankie and Salazar. Hard to believe Lindor is only 22 and has just killed it since he made it to the majors.

Man, this Tribe team is so damn fun to watch. Can't wait to get Brantley back into the mix.

It's pretty bullshit when the best AL team is barely represented

Stat of the day: The Detroit Tigers are 44-29 against teams not named the Cleveland Indians this season.

just saw the all-star selections. honestly, other than Addisson Russell taking Trevor Story's spot or even Diaz there weren't too many snubs and right, Dexter Fowler taking Braun's spot (or Fowler)... but it's not like Marte or Diaz or Story are having crazy insane years where it's a devastation. Braun obviously should be instead of Fowler duh.

the AL went reliever happy, thereby screwing someone like Bauer or Kluber or Aaron Sanchez,

other than that, not too crazy

He leads the AL in K's but his ERA is high. Too many early runs too often. I don't know how to explain it. We can score 12 on a night he's off, but just 2 when he pitches. It's baffling.

The season's been disappointing, yeah. Given up too many rockets. He actually pitched well tonight tho, even considering the poor first inning.

Definitely, he recovered nicely. We just didn't provide run support at all. Stranded something like 13 men tonight. Ugh.

As a Met fan, I was happy to see them lose his first game back and him go 0-4.
