The Royals were down 7-1 heading into the 9th. Still in the 9th, game currently tied.

Yankee fanbase has to find something else to watch cause their team is gonna be mediocre/bad for another few years.

  6. Harper is gonna sign with them, he even shaved his beard already lol

I disagree with that, although Beltran is our best player right now he's a big detriment on defense. Once Tex and Beltran are gone next year, they'll start improving. Not gonna be near the best team in the majors for a few years, but it's only up from this season. Mateo, Kaprelian, Bird, Judge, Sanchez, lots of young promise to replace these old farts. Severino has too much talent to not snap out of his funk. Look at the aces that have sucked this year, happens to everybody at some point. And Cashman has made very good, smart trades the last two years. I'm not one bit worried about their future. And even if not Harper, 2018 will get them a big piece or two. I'm not in the portion of the fanbase that flips out cause the 18 playoffs in 19 years streak or whatever it was is over. This season will be the low point for the near future.

Yankees fans generally want the best or nothing, id bold the part im referring to but I'm on my phone. Its either "bring up the young guys" or "fire Gerardi", they know they're not winning any time soon and it drives them bonkers that they're stuck in the cap mess. I agree, I also it'll be a few years.

Lol yeah spoiled brats. I avoid Facebook comments like the plague. They're losing 90 million to old guys over the next two years, those contracts suck but I just try to look at it as they flat out don't win in 2009 without C.C. and A-Rod. Not that it makes those contracts worth it, but eh. People don't realize they didn't go to the playoffs for 18 years before 1996. They were stupid with free agents, it's obvious they finally wised up for the most part (damn Ellsbury contract ugh.) But I guess the other option was caving to Cano and that would have been far worse.

Darvish followed up a 95 mph fastball with a 66 mph curve with a 95 mph fastball. Kinda not fair.

After watching that replay, I don't think there's any reason Thor should have been thrown out of that game. Really awful umpiring.

Can't wait for the analyst hot take of how bad it was followed by the "we can't take humanity out of the game for god sakes! Changing anything would make us all robots!"

I absolutely love when the White Sox lose.

As for the Noah Syndergaard discussion: I feel like there's gotta be a warning first. I'd understand tossing a pitcher if he was head hunting, but that was a relatively decent place to get hit if you're going to get hit intentionally.

I'm hoping Hank is willing to wait it out until the striking time comes around. He seems to have faith in Girardi as shown by calling out the players plus the Yankees will bring in revenue regardless of record. The big contracts need to fall off and will in due time. Until then, we can season out young talent and piece that with some wise free agent pickups. Despite the impending mediocrity it's rather exciting being able to talk about the yanks future talent over a free agent overhaul.

I think they'll be smart. If I recall there's not a ton of great free agents the next two years anyways. When they didn't try to sign Scherzer, that really gave me hope. Bide your time, develop the young guys and make a run at Harper, Machado or whoever else in 2 years. I think Eovaldi is gonna keep getting better, Tanaka is very solid now and Severino's troubles don't have me worried about his ceiling. I feel good about Sanchez, Didi, Castro and Bird, just need to take care of 3rd. Headley's contract is kinda bad but when the bad contracts fall off the next two years, they can stomach it. I'm just impatient to see Judge lol. I surprisingly enjoyed A-Rod last year but the decline will be fast now. I kinda just want him to stay hurt so Beltran can DH and we can finally see Judge. He's been much better at AAA this year.
