That strike to Ortiz was closer than the cross-up made it look. Still it reminded me of this lol

Angels will take Lincecum. Our 2 1/2 man starting rotation could use a boost!

Kang with 2 HRs in his first game back. God am I happy he's back and healthy.

I wouldn't mind the Tigers taking a flier on Lincecum at this point

It was bad enough having someone batting .088 hit the go ahead HR but the Ortiz strike calls were a disgrace. On to the next one.

Havnt posted much the last 2 weeks because I've been on vacation. Braves still suck, I still love the braves. Hi everyone!

Kulpa's zone last night wasn't that bad. Certainly not worthy of the outrage I saw both before Ortiz's at bat in the ninth or afterwards.

It was wide, but mostly within the zone that umps call.

What a miserable stretch of baseball for the Tigers these last few games continuing into the first two batters today

That Fielder-Kinsler trade looks better every day for the Rangers. But Fielder could still turn it around!

I think this is close to the tightest strike zone I've ever seen in this Yankees-Red Sox game

Gah. Oh giving up that single for the tying run. Actually a decent game from Wainwright for once.

Does every time a coach tell Soler to take a pitch he interprets it wrong? Because he just grounded out on the first pitch of his first at bat for the 3rd straight game at least

3 RBI game for Grichuk. Hopefully this is the start to him hitting.

    Beginning not to hate it?

I still stand by it even though Kins is one of my favorite Rangers ever.

Nah I was being sarcastic. Still an awful trade, thought so at the time and I'm yet to be proven wrong.

Wasn't sure if that was the case of not.

He's definitely done well in DET but was regressing in TEX. I feel like he got complacent and didn't necessarily care anymore and the trade woke him up and kinda lit a fire under him.

Yeah, I'm pleased for him. He was always under-rated by some of the fans, wish we could have fitted him in. Unfortunately we got stuck with a designated hitter who can't hit and is owed a lot of money. I said somewhere else yesterday but the most common sentence we're going to hear from fans when discussing Fielder for the remainder of his time here is "he can still turn it around".

Personally I try to stay optimistic about him and Choo and Andrus(although he's looked great this year). Fielder had a great year last year, I definitely think he can still be productive. You think we'll keep him strictly at DH after Moreland leaves?

  24. Platy

    Sam

I think he'll DH apart from the odd game at 1st.

I have more faith in Choo and Andrus being productive, Fielder not so much.

Baez taking a page out of Soler's complete lack of plate discipline. First at bat of the game, bases loaded, why not swing at the first pitch?
