    The rivalry is back on

I think it's interesting that Jessy Lanza was at the top of their songs and albums list. Normally they'll mix that up. I might have just noticed because I didn't really get into that album, even though it's the kind of thing I would like.

    The rivalry is back on

It's amazing how well this scene of music has been represented on these year-end lists. Hotelier and pinegrove have shown up on quite a few, but also pup, into it over it, modern baseball, etc so it hasn't felt like they just added the token album either

i think it's mostly that that this site is shifting away from warped tour music and more towards what is sort of the new wave of indie rock.

    The rivalry is back on

Yeah, I can definitely see that. Even still, it's a lot more representative of bands I'd expect to see at something like the Wrecking Ball fest in ATL, rather than at Coachella or Lolla

No particular order, but 7 that will stay in my top 10:

    Hotelier
    1975
    Brian Fallon
    Beyonce
    Kanye
    Band Of Horses
    Weezer

I'm assuming Brand New and Every Time I Die will get in there, maybe HAIM, maybe JEW if they get it out by the end of the year but not sure how far along it is.

    Self-described freestyle wizard poet.

I am so out of touch with music. These days I don't usually get into albums until the dust settles and they've been out for a year.

But 3 albums that have really impressed me this year are

    Thrice - TBEITBN
    Brian Fallon - Painkillers
Deftones - Gore (my front runner so far by some distance)
Kvelertak - Nattesferd (easily my most listened to)

Albums I am kicking myself for not listening to properly yet:

Hotelier - Goodness (still haven't fully processed their last one)
    Modern Baseball - Holy Ghost
Into It. Over It - Standards
    Basement - Promise Everything

    Albums I am eagerly anticipating:
    Blink
    Red Hot Chilli Peppers
Against Me! - dp will it even be out this year?
