I know Bey set the bar high but I think Britney will be right up there with Bey. I think the choreo will prob be way better bc Brit is untouchable when it comes to dancing, imo.
Like the pressure wasn't already on Britney after media referring to this as her comeback performance over and over...
I don't know if there's a performer right now who says more through pure performance. Maybe it's recency bias, I'm sure there are people who aren't on my mind (just thought of Kendrick, actually), but her staging, the iconography, the cohesion, she's utilizing performance to make statements, to imbibe meaning to compliment the music through performance, and that's why it resonates. We feel that. She's magnificent.
I think it's always a bit weird to see brit even when she's good cause she'll never be peak brit with that charisma and fire again but she still handles herself on a stage better than most current popstars.
Don't get me wrong. Godney is my original queen, and will always have a place in my heart. It doesn't matter what show it is, but Bey is one of the toughest acts to follow. They needed to space the two out for performances.
I think britney has stronger choreo usually, even now. I don't think choreo is bey's strong suit. But brit used to make it look so effortless and I think that's what I miss most. I'm still excited for her tho of course!
DJ Khaled has made me hate him in the weirdest way. It's all because of his song with Drake and how they shout THIS ANOTHER ANTHEM when it isn't and it makes me bitter.
Wanted to see Freedom win that one since it's my favorite song on that album but I can't complain too much since Formation won most of the technical awards.
