Yotes are gonna be in the playoff mix this season. I'll bet they sign Gogo for a few years, I'd bet even more they bring Yandle back, so in between their top-4 having (potentially) been re-solidified and all the young guns up front, that's gonna be a pretty fun team to watch.

My guess for the pacific would be Ducks, Sharks and Kings taking the top 3. I know I know it's a shocker. I give the Coyotes and Flames to try and compete for a wildcard spot. Canucks and Oilers stink forever.

 

Hopefully the Flyers can add a bit of scoring in FA. They do that and I think they'll be one of the most improved/consistent teams next year with the D Corps starting to come into focus a little bit.

Chances are Morin/Sanheim start in the AHL but could be called up ala Ghost style sometime during the season. I'm ready to see them all up with the big club and stop with these shitty retreads they have now sans MDZ, he's cool.

 

Starting to feel sold on Nylander or Chychrun to the Sabres like I was back in 2013 when I wanted Ristolainen, Monahan or Lindholm. As long as one of them is there at 8, I feel like they aren't making a bad decision

There's talk of the Oilers moving back in the draft from No. 4. If they don't move the pick for an NHL ready defenceman, or take Olli Juolevi or Mikhail Sergachev at 4, this team is destined for constant failure. Apparently their scouting staff wants Tkachuk or Dubois if they keep the pick...

 

if they are set on taking a DMan, they should definitely move back a few spots

 

What is Nylander's floor in the draft? I want him in Carolina but I know he won't make it to 13. We do have the ammo to trade up though.

Does Nieto have any trade value? I would hate if the Sharks trade him but looking at him and Wingels, it seems like they are the odd ones out.

 

It sounds like they're more keen on Tkachuk or Dubois rather than Segachev who would fit the organization's needs more than anything.

 

As much as I would love Stamkos on the Wings, we better be aiming for a top defenseman as well. Trade Mantha if you have to, that defense needs help in the worst way.

My realistic hope would be they let go of Spaling and Zubrus and trade Wingels. Nieto and Goldobin are good possibilities for the third line while Goodrow would be nice on the 4th. I feel like Meier would need more time to develop but the sharks are super high on him making the team next year. I don't think the Sharks will have the cap to acquire a top 6 player to play with the Joes so they probably stick a rookie(Goldobin, Meier?) with them and hope for the best.

Defense is pretty much set minus the 6th and 7th defenseman. I think Demelo gets a shot at 6th meanwhile they let Polak and Tennyson go. I also think Heed will eventually become 6th if his play can transfer to NHL ice.

Goalies are a crap shoot and all I know is Jones is back and Dell is possibly for backup. I think if they don't want to do Dell, I'll take Enroth.
