OLD BOYS CLUB STRIKES AGAIN.

 

After watching that 30 for 30 on Spano buying the Isles nothing surprises me with NHL execs.

 

I'm still in shock over the deal.

 

I still can't believe he's staying.

If Weber retires before contract ends, #Preds will be charged on the cap $24,571,432 divided by years remaining in recapture penalties.

 

This is where I'm at.

I love Larsson. I've watched him grow and get past that shit head of a coach. But hall is special

 

The more I think about it, the more the Hall trade isn't completely atrocious. Larsson is a potential top pairing d-man (if he's not a #2 already), they have Connor flippin' McDavid to drive the offense, they had Puljujarvi fall into their laps, and Lucic is almost certainly on his way. Value in a vacuum still favours New Jersey, but all things considered, Edmonton looks to be in immensely better shape going forward.

PK for Weber is still laughable though.

 

Basically

NJ wins the trade value wise. But Larsson is a righty and defensive minded. That's what Edmonton needs.

I just realized Steve Simmons tweeted how his sources told him Stamkos was in Toronto meeting Maple Leafs management and a hour later the Lightning announced his re-signing.

that is amazing and Steve Simmons is always the worst.

 

In that scenario, the earlier he retires the better. Could you imagine if he retired with one year left?

 

Dreger just said to expect Edmonton to sign Lucic to a 7 year deal on Friday.

I'm really scared of what we will have to pay to get a decent forward with some of these contracts happening/rumored
