Why not qualify Sam Carrick or Stuart Percy? I don't get it.

 

The Oilers need to get rid of McTavish.

 

Sekera's contract maybe a bit on the high side, but he'll be a quality #2 for whatever RHD Edmonton may bring in.

 

Most of those end this year and no clue how Talbot is a bum when he posted a league average goaltending. That's all they want.

Mctavish isn't even involved with the hockey management anymore. He's on the business side.

 

I honestly think he's going to Detroit or Tampa. Toronto would be suicide, the media will skewer him endlessly (see: Kessel, Philip J.)

Percy 'cause we're overloaded with middling D prospects and he stagnated in his development, but Carrick I did kinda sorta like, thought he could carve out a career as a 4th liner, like a poor man's Komarov. Either way, it's likely 'cause those guys are waiver eligible this season and we'd end up losing them anyway had we tried to send them back to the AHL.

 

Also Oilers radio guy Bob Stauffer says EDM and NJ have been talking about Larsson for over a year now and there's a "decently priced" deal in place for him.

Nothing will come of this obviously but Jesus Christ I'm bored and want something to happen so I'll cling desperately to whatever comes along.

 

I was promised this be the summer of chaos and so far nothing has happened that has been chaos.

the only player I would trade Larsson for on the Oilers is McDavid. and I am dead serious

he is too vital to the organization to move for anything but an overpayment

I see Buffalo, Detroit, or Toronto.

Buffalo just makes the most sense to me, biased or not lol.
