Could be the optimist in me but I think the NHL really does want Seattle to be apart of their landscape and they are buying time on #32 for that to happen. If Seattle doesn't get their shit together in the next year or two then I think they eventually give #32 to QC.

 

They'll have their teams back in 30 years, short wait.

 

so I realize the Devils need to add scoring, but they might need "depth" scoring moreso than even top end scoring. their "top lines" actually did OK last year. but check out their depth scoring:

the following players were our "regular" bottom 6 players last season at different points

those 12 players played a combined 471 games. They scored a combined 32 goals. THIRTY TWO. and half of that was Farnham and Kalinin lol

hopefully the addition of Smith-Pelly will help that. I also think that Zacha starts the year on the big team. Just flushing out the turds we had last year down there like Ruutu and Gionta and replacing them with league average players should bump the scoring up some

They're going to buyout R.J. Umberger (which I can't argue against) but I wish they'd (Flyers) send Andrew Macdonald packing. Just so I don't have to watch his ass anymore and it frees up another spot on the blueline for one of the young guys who are close to ready (Morin/Sanheim).

We already know Provy will be up next year.
