Vegas can take TVR anyways though?

 

All this expansion talk got me curious about past expansions. So I did some googling on stats and stuff.

The Panthers have the best expansion first season with a 33-34-17 (83 points) record in the 93-94 season. They missed the playoffs by 1 point.
The capitals have the worst first season of all time with a 21 point 8-67-5 record in the 1974-1975 season lol.... EIGHT wins

 

so it just seems like the Blackhawks are trying to sucker golden knights into taking Kruger contract and not trade/protect TVR.

Idk I don't really think tvr is worth a pick when there are a lot better depth defenseman going to be available.

 

Everyone said this draft sucks anyway, they're perfect for that.

 

This draft doesn't suck IMO

It doesn't have the McDavid or Matthews in it, but its kind of a regular draft past that from what I've read

 

I'm just giving the generic analysis people have been giving all season, seems average but it's harder to understand the NHL draft compared to other drafts for me so I go by scouting reports. I guess if you can get a high upside guy later for nothing, you do it and roll the dice; easily.

 

Yes to both of these. I love Kruger but we're screwed with the cap. And TVR is expendable even has a right handed shot.

 

Trade any of our new picks/prospects besides DeBrincat

 

yeah it seems with how blessed the past few drafts have been that they are undervaluing this one a lot.

I was looking at a potential protected list for Blackhawks and it would be such slim pickings for Vegas so TVR might be the best option.

What's the order of announcing the expansion picks?

 

They'll probably do it all at once or by groups (fwds, def, g).

 

Hockey twitter will explode if it's all at once lol

 

I thought it made more sense to do it after the draft, weird.
