Damn, just watching the Jackets game on DVR and it seemed to me that Ovechkin should have been called for charging on the Werenski hit. The loss is bad enough, but to lose Werenski as well is a real kick in the teeth.

 

This season has been so so so so fun but I'm starting to let bad feelings creep in about a likely first round exit.

 

I can't stay mad at Getzlaf when he's just whipping his elite passing dick out like it's no big deal.

Why is literally everything in Texas terrible?

 

Kings knocked out of playoff contention, Ducks back in first. Today was a good day.

 

Aleksi Saarela has been on fire since arriving to the AHL. And he's been on a line with Zykov who looked good during his time in Raleigh before he was injured. Both guys could be on the main roster soon. Add in Gauthier potentially moving up and the Canes have plenty of help on the way. Top two defensive pairings are set for a long time. And we have plenty of other young defensemen on the way up.

If we can add a consistent goaltender this offseason I don't see how we don't make the playoffs next season.

 

We will have to do a different point system next season but either way that was fun.
Can someone start a playoff pool?

 

my usual I hate Haley stat is sharks last two wins have both come from games Haley wasn't in.

 

It's just incredible to me that you complain about a 4th liner on what has looked like a contender, or even a good playoff team at the very least.

Same goes for Rangers fans and Glass a few years ago.

Also the same for Chicago fans and whatever shit they chose to moan about.

When Carolina becomes a regular playoff team and possible contenders in a few years, I hope someone will call me out if I'm caught doing something similar.

I'm pretty mixed on it. After reading the articles on the NHL website, it really just doesn't sound like it would benefit the league. Also the big break in the season sucks and can mess with a teams flow
