Now that I'm done being salty about the pens win...it was great seeing Hags and Sully win. Sullivan always felt like he was Craig Patrick to Tortorella's Brooks, solid guy and he very clearly brought some of the shot blocking, shutdown defense mentality with him.

I finally get to go to games again

can we talk about how bad the Dustin Brown contract is? over the past 2 full seasons, he has a TOTAL of 22 goals and 33 assists. He has not missed a game.

he still has 6 years and $32 million left on the contract lol

 

I've been reading up on Saarela and I'm excited. He is probably a year away from playing for the Canes but the thought of him and Aho playing together is dreamy.

captaining 2 cups in three years, including the franchise first, makes for great contract negotiations. I'm not defending the deal at all because jesus christ vomit...but LA probably felt handcuffed. Dude is worth half the 5.8 hit against the cap he's currently at.

 

I'm just assuming all their options will be from a giant burning pile of trash.

 

I think there actually are going to be a few decent players made available in the expansion draft, especially if that "games played" thing comes to fruition
